Anyone have thoughts on Elizabeth Warren for Pres?

BTW:
Warren attended Rutgers University school of law. The National Law Journal repeatedly has named Warren as one of the Fifty Most Influential Women Attorneys in America, and in 2010 it honored her as one of the 40 most influential attorneys of the decade. Not sure where fake lawyer came from (probably some web site, copied and pasted until it became "fact" for people too lazy to spend 2 minutes on Google.)

Wikipedia on Native American controversy:
In other words, her supporters consider it unimportant, her opponents will hate her regardless. Very much like "birthers".

Hate her? No the question was "do you have any thought about her being President?" The answer is No, but nothing in that speaks Hate.

Literally Cherokee, that's the quickest way to find out someone's full of shit.

I think you are correct sir but we must remember, recognizing someone is full of shit is not Hate. It is simple observing the facts.

When I had my DNA tested it turns out that I'm 1/64th Native American on my mom's side. It's funny because she doesn't know of any Native ancestry in her family. She thinks maybe it's from a great grandfather who was French Canadian.

Now that's bullshit. LOL

It's one thing to say in passing something like, "I'm told I have indian ancestry" vs. claiming to be indian and getting govt. provided benefits because of it.

So to sum up:
Calling yourself an Indian based on hearsay 20 years ago: big issue.
Having the police called on you last year for stalking: not an issue.

barfo

regardless of the facts about the Native American issue, I am telling you that the majority of the public will see ongoing attacks on this subject as petty and unsubstantiated, and will actually work against the accuser. Barring genetic testing proving she lied or told the truth, this issue will only embolden those on the fringes of the right like they were with the Birther movement and Obama. Attack attack attack and never on substance, it makes on look hateful and full of vitriol and bitterness. It makes attacks look personal and mean verses policy driven and pertinent. This issue wouldn't bother me one bit if I were Warren.

Ha! Now I can believe it won't bother you. Sort of like the man with a poor olfactory function, can't tell he has dog shit on his shoe.

I think it will bother Republican and won't bother Democrats.

I think Independents will think along the lines you are saying . . . although both parties are so good about raising these issues without looking like they are the ones raising it, it will be more of a non-issue than a backlash.

I don't think it's that big an issue. But I wouldn't say she's honest, either.

Wiki is about your speed. No surprise there. Those who support her don't mind that she cut in line, so to speak, in order to advance her career by claiming to be a minority. To liberals like you, I guess this is an admirable trait.

Speaking of cutting in line ahead of Indians, would you like to use this opportune moment to announce your relinquishment of any land you own?

Will you be speaking out for Indian causes after this?

You probably remember it wrong. So your sperm-problem doctor found that 1 of your 64 conquests wasn't a Spanish noblewoman. Hey, it's not so bad.

I could see you are a supporter of Warren and usually we're on the same page - or at least respectful. But "pimp" is a hateful person and I could never see it as a compliment or a neutral term. Like someone once saying here that calling a woman a whore was somehow a compliment, in what universe?

I tend to agree with you on liking her, but Warren has zero foreign policy experience, I think she'd get killed in primaries. My concern is that if Hillary Clinton is "anointed" nominee there will be no real discussion of policy; what Clinton says goes.

Some have suggested a Clinton/Warren ticket, the two wings of the Democratic Party, but I just don't think Clinton would pick another woman as her running mate, despite the fact that in all but two elections the "major" parties had no trouble running two men!

That being said, anyone read her book yet? Comments?

Who said calling someone a whore was a compliment?
