Are the playoffs realistic?

New York only need to move up one place to be 8th position and if they maintain the position and there are no incredible winning streaks from teams below them then they have a good shot.

Upcoming Games

Vs Seattle 06/03
@ Washington 10/03
@ Tor 14/03
Vs NOK 16/03
Vs Tor 18/03

They need either Miami or NJ to lose a few games, New York has won 2 straight games they do have a tougher schedule coming up but to say the playoffs are not realistic is being unrealistic.

The Knicks definitely have a chance to make the playoffs. They can catch New Jersey, but I don't think they can catch Miami.

As of today, we are 0.5 games away from the 8th spot and tomorrow the Nets are on a road trip where they face the Texas Triangle.

And that is EXACTLY where the Knicks get lost for the season and get mentally hurt which leads them not to make the playoffs.

The Knicks don't play the Texas Triangle, the Nets do.

Oh, my bad. Thought you said Knicks

Well, same applies for Nets - they will lose all 3 in TX thus giving Knicks a chance...

Ridnour isn't playing in the seattle game so we got a better shot with one of their PGs down

Well the Knicks lost by one point to the sonics after Lewis nailed a three in the last few seconds then Marbury failed to tie the game on free throws.
However New Jersey lost their most recent game to Dallas as well as Indiana so everything is the same really

The Sonics game was very winnable, we just collapsed at the end. No time to dwell on that because we have many important games coming up which can ultimately decide our fate.
