Difficult question to answer (the poll). Special interests have a lot of influence, but why shouldn't they? We're supposed to be free to associate and form groups to protest the government or to petition the government about our issues.

The government has way too much power over people. If they didn't have this power, then there'd be nothing to be gained by bribing officials or spending so much on lobbying.
