Are you losing interest in the Blazers

Yesterday I posted something in this thread about never losing interest and that will always be the case for me but I admitted that I have lost some enthusiasm. Now what I'm losing is hope. I had hoped that we could build a contender around Dame and make a legitimate run at a title in the next 2-4 years but that fucking trade really dashed all of that hope. There's no way Dame thought that the trade made yesterday was meant to give him a better chance at winning a ring here... there's just no way. So we'll watch closely for the 83 hours and change but unless Cronin has a rabbit to pull out of a hat he has hidden up his ass, I just don't see how we're going to get Dame closer to contention now.

I do still have hope that I'm wrong but I think by the start of next season there's a great chance that all we'll have to hope for is the development of young talent. Dame really may have played his last game in a Blazers uniform.

For the record, the fanatic source of the word fan is just speculation. it could come as a shortening of the word Fancy and might actually have been born from the ladies in the opera boxes that fanned themselves enthusiastically when the tenor was singing.

It should be noted that only oxford dictionary uses the antique fanatic description, modern American dictionaries certainly do not.

Either way, going back to the origin of the thread, I certainly lost interest since the start of the year and if that makes me a lesser opera lady, I don't care.
