I wouldn't mind seeing who actually paid for the T-shirts, and why they were there for a supposed memorial to 6 people slain in cold blood. Also wondering about the "revolution" that the author writes about in this blog post.

I stopped reading after post 48 or so right after where Hasoos posted one of the most offensive and ridiculous things I have read on this board. Then some of you ignored it and made excuses for it.

You left wingers are just as fucking crazy as the right wingers, every fucking one of you.

That was the point of this entire thread, bodyman. Between crandc's hatred, and hasoos' lunacy, it only illustrates how insincere the importance of last night's "message" by the President was to partisan hacks like those two posters.

I'll pat myself on the back now. We're fucked as a country, though.

PapaG is right on with most of what he has posted. I did like what Obama was saying but not the pep rally feel and T-shirts etc. I just couldn't believe what I was watching and hearing from the crowd.

Not sure I'd make such a grand sweeping generalization (and yes I know you didn't say that. I'm just too damn lazy to quote a second post)

You have kids. I get scared for the future of my 4 nieces, I can't imagine how someone with kids can sleep at night.

I think both sides talk past each other. In the course of it, each side becomes desensitized to its own speech (after all, in their minds it's the truth) and the other side's speech appears exaggerated.

Mostly, I think people just need to get over themselves. One of the beauties of the First Amendment is that we are free to offend each other, and I'll fight for someone's right to speak their mind no matter how much I disagree with it.

We're still talking about Boxxy, right?

"Kicky Chicken"? Do share, please.

"kicky" modified "chicken and vegetable stir fry," not merely "chicken."

I've always felt that we need mathematical notation in language to show levels of association.

So: I learned how to make a kicky (chicken and vegetable stir fry)

Rather than: I learned how to make a (kicky chicken) and vegetable stir fry

Much clearer.

Oh, well. Now, I have a new mission. I'm going to invent a chicken recipe and call it "kicky chicken"

It must include peanut sauce and curry, or a mixture of the two.
