Brunson 4-4 FG in 4th. The Sixers might need another dose of magical Maxey.

Oubre Jr cuts it to 1. He's got my vote for 'best player on minimum contract'. I'd put Banton in the top 10.

Imagine it’s the last shot of the season… And Buddy Hield gets the look.

I’d rather have Batam!

Buddy hit one of those spinny flipper 3's in the 2nd quarter. Unfortunately for Philadelphia, he could not replicate that shot.

I know that Philly is a little weak right now, but New York just went to the second round with five starters who were drafted at these spots: 17, 23, 30. 33, 43. I don't think they drafted any of those guys themselves, but seems to show you can find winning players way out of the lottery.

And you can build a solid team without tanking.

well... Sixer fans can hope Dallas beats Harden. A nice complimentary victory.

Are we listing all the possible ways a team can become good or bad?
Sure if you want? Maybe the first step is to have an owner that wants to actually win games? I would think that would be of primary importance.

It helps to be a destination. Brunson and Hart wanted to go to NY, regardless of the team.
Winning helps. I can promise you that if the Blazers had a team that was winning instead of thinking "tank" Hart would have been more receptive to staying here.

Beverly throwing dimes to Pacers fans

Dude is dirty. Suspension incoming for the start of next season. You can't hit a fan in the face with a basketball.

Wanting to stay put and wanting to go somewhere else specifically are two very different things. Portland doesn't draw players, and winning hasn't helped with that.

Not sure that is true? The times the Blazers had players that were projected to contend they had a much easier time signing players and keeping them.
Specifically Scottie Pippen made this comment-
"Scottie Pippen was glad he was traded to the Portland Trailblazers instead of the Los Angeles Lakers in 1999 because he felt the Blazers were closer to competing for a championship. He won three consecutive championships with Chicago and looked for new challenges, and the young and talented Portland team seemed like one."

No Portland isn't a free agent destination but Marcus Camby made a decision to stay here as well and that team was pretty deep.

Maybe more recently things have been tough but if that team with Aldridge, Roy and Oden had stayed healthy this team would have drawn some players as well.

We don't know that Pippen wouldn't have said the same thing about LA if traded there instead... Regardless, he didn't choose to come here.

Funny cause the Lakers won. Guess they were closer after all.

The mighty Clippers have been over 500, 17 years out of 54 years.

Good point. I don't know he would not have said that about any team?
