Andrew Wiggins last year
Interesting argument. My question would be--if Wiggins didn't deserve to be an all-star last year, who in the West should have gone in ahead of him?

Looking at the voting, the number 4 frontcourt player behind Wiggins was Draymond, and he got in as well, as did the number 6 & 7 vote getters Gobert and KAT. The highest-voted front-court player who was snubbed and maybe deserved the all-star spot that Wiggins got was Paul George. The players also voted Wiggins ahead of George (46 to 36), as did the media (4 to 3). So none of the 3 voting elements agreed with your claim that Wiggins wasn't one of the 6 most-deserving western-conference front-court all-star selections (the minimum allowed number).

Was just looking through the voting, in 16-17, Zaza pachulia was the #2 vote getter for west front court. Lol
That's the year they started letting players' votes count for 25% and media votes to count for another 25% to prevent Zaza from starting. He didn't even make the team. You're going to be hard pressed to find an instance where a starter made it in that wouldn't have been a reserve that the coaches would have picked anyway. The one time it almost happened (that you just pointed out) the NBA took power away from the fans to avoid what @THE HCP is saying every all star selection is, a mismanaged popularity contest... which just isn't the case.

Oh I agree, I was just looking through to see if there ever had been, which it didn't really look like, I just found it funny.

DeAndre Ayton anyone? Looks like he’s not happy in Phoenix

Who is your surprise team this year? I don’t know if the magic will actually make the playoffs but I think that Paolo will be good enough to maybe have them be considered a surprise team this year. How many did they win last year? +10-15 this year?

Which team will have the greatest win improvement over last season?

If you think about it, the magic have to be the most likely to do that, right? Matter of fact portland is probably their biggest competition in that regard.

Lakers, Blazers, Magic 1 of those 3

Twolves still won 46 games last season.

Pels with a healthy Zion

Too expensive. The teams winning championships don't have their starting center taking up such a big portion of the salary.

Fun fact, Paolo threw out the first pitch at one of the Mariner's games I went to this summer. The stadium actually got pretty loud for him. I didn't even stand up.

I guess you have to wonder:

Ja Morant
Luca Doncic
Anthony Edwards
Stephen Curry
Klay Thompson
Devin Booker
Chis Paul
Dejounte Murray
Damian Lillard

CJ would have to beat out 5 of those guys at the same time he held off young guys like Jamal Murray, De'Aaron Fox, SGA, and Jordan Poole

seems pretty unlikely

Dejounte Murray plays for the Hawks

kind of impressive. More impressive that Magic did that in basically 11 seasons. While Lebron is about to enter year 20.
I’m more impressed with the ability to play in the league 20 seasons to be honest.

Then you really should be impressed with John Stockton, since he played 19 years and missed 22 games....total.
And that included him coming back from a microfracture surgery and missing very little time.

Ignoring that he's a whackadoodle anti-vaxxer though.

speaking of whackadoodle: Aaron Rodgers is an anti-vaxer and Brett Farve might go to jail for welfare fraud...what's up with Green Bay QB's?

Jordan too. He’d play 82 games 40 mpg every year back in his prime.

But what about chemistry? Isn’t having better chemistry better than having more talent?

The most important thing is making sure Damian doesn't drink like a fish anymore.

Can someone ask Cronin if we can beat this guys?

I will admit that a bench of Jackson/Kennard/Batum/Roco/Zubac would certainly give me a lot of confidence in my team. All of those guys are good enough to start on several teams.
