Butler is 32. And it took him a few years and a few teams. Hart has similar intensity.
 
Wow. Butler just said he wishes he was still on the Sixers. You don’t hear that often if ever.

There is no way Philly will give him 200+. They can get much better players with the MLE.
 
Maybe Harden intentionally want Rivers to get fired so he can get D’Antoni back
 
We’re seeing the death of the “superteam” in real time. You need more than just a couple of superstars. You need an actual team and role players are just as valuable.
 
A team's attitude and chemistry count for something for sure. Harden is a boil on a team's ass that needs to be lanced.

Ok, well, usually people who “win” get more leeway than people who “don’t win”. So your statement just isn’t logical.

Popovich gets a LOT more leeway than … Frank Vogel for instance.

If Popovich or Phil Jackson want to dance during timeouts they’ve earned that right. If Chauncey Billups wants to dance during timeouts, he should be fired.

So I mean, especially in sports, winners get privileges that losers don’t get. Fine if you disagree but that’s literally not how it is in ANY sport. I can’t think of a single instance where what you said is true. In fact, most say “winning fixes everything.”

At best it’s a lose-lose.

And considering the Nets got bailed out from paying Harden and most likely would be able to get even more assets for Simmons than the Sixers could get for Harden, I lean towards it being a “neutral (Nets) - Lose (Sixers)”

Now watch Harden go nuts in the off-season and come back with the best conditioning ever and a chiseled 6 pack just to prove me wrong.
 
Harden is going to have to opt into that last year. No one in this league is giving him 47M next season and he'll have to take this off season very seriously and prove himself all over again if he wants one last big contract. I might be wrong and Morey might just be that stubborn that he still gives him the extension but it would be one of the worst decisions ever.
 
It’s really hard to win playoff games. Look at the Suns in the regular season and now they’re choking again.
 
Here’s something that’s interesting:

Whenever the Blazers lose/fail whatever you want to call it, the media always says “Get Dame out of Portland”.

Why doesn’t the media do the same with Embiid - who arguably has had better teams around him. “Get Embiid out of Philly”?
