So @KSF-ERIC I was really feeling like the Grizz were missing Ja tonight and so I started to wonder just how absurd your theory that they're better without him is. So I looked up the numbers and Ja leads the team in Value Over Replacement Player by a wide wide margin. So when measuring the team with him on the floor versus off it, he is the most valuable player on the team. This wasn't shocking and it's not shocking that he has a higher defensive win share than Tyus Jones or that his Box Plus/Minus is the highest on the team by a very wide margin. Your assertion that the team is better without Ja isn't the most ridiculous of all of your takes but that should really make you want to evaluate all of your takes.

Rooting for either Celtics or Bucks to beat the Warriors or Suns.

I think the Heat might be putting it together better than any team in the league right now, so I wouldn't count them out and I don't know how you can count out the Mavs yet.

Thing is the Warriors have troubles with size and the Bucks have it. Ayton is also another player that could give the Warriors problems.

The modern NBA mirrors society: it's all about outside shooting.

Too soon?

This has always made me cringe. We all just watched the kid push the Ducks to the elite 8 and Brooks had pretty much everything to do with them getting there.

yeah, I'm a Duck alum and fan, so I'm biased, but I thought Brooks might be worth a late first. To be fair, he did some things and said some things while at Oregon that pointed to him being kind of an asshole. But he was a junkyard dog who gave maximum effort every game, especially on defense. And he had good handles. Wasn't a real good shooter though.

and he brought all that to the floor while having the upside potential of being a good 2-way wing in the NBA....all qualities that Portland was desperate for....and all qualities that Olshey seemed allergic too.

in some ways, that 2017 draft was the most mismanaged draft in Blazer history. Other drafts had bigger missed opportunities (CJ over Giannis). But when it comes to a string of bad assumptions, AND, missed opportunities, 2017 might be right on top

just as an historical note: that 26th pick Portland used on Swanigan was bought by the Blazers taking on Varejao. Trying to calculate how much that pick actually cost was complex because of the minimum team salary situation and the 5 year stretch used on Varejao. I tried one time and came up with somewhere in the 7-8M range. So then, Portland paid 7-8M for a 26th pick and used it on Swanigan. Yet another reason why the 2017 draft was chucklehead central in the Blazer front office

Boston just plays a different kind of defense. All shots contested, never an easy look.

Brook Lopez finally realizing he's 7 feet tall is the difference maker in this game

This is going to be absolutely hilarious if the Celtics lose to Milwaukee.

Bordering on Blazers losing to the Pelicans levels of pathetic.

Boston starting to pull away, thankfully.

Didn’t want to see Milwaukee go b2b.

And would like to see Pritchard get a ring.

Think Giannis is finally running out of gas. 7 gamea against this physical defense while being the only offensive threat is taking a toll.

Great to see a Celtics vs Heat as the Bucks not beating the Heat without Middleton
