Simons has more potential than Poole but Poole might be better fit next to Dame.

How many extra wins would that equate to, though? Enough to justify letting a guy go who either could be a centerpiece-type player when Dame is getting set to retire or who almost certainly would bring you more in trade return at that time if you were tearing it down and rebuilding again?

After suffering through watching yet another 30+ point beat-down of the Blazers last night, isn’t it really about time to change this thread title from “Apathetic April” to “A Pathetic April”?

See I think our tank is Applaudable. Takes cojones. Any idea's for May?

So Dame is old and Westbrook is a former MVP so Blazers should make this thread?!?

But once on the Lakers Dame is no longer old and the Lakers are suddenly amazing.

Makes.Perfect.Sense.

I saw that yesterday and I know we as blazers fans overrate our players but gooood lord this is another level

I was just joking about watching so many blowout losses. I’m all-in on the tank.

How about, “Maybe Merciful May”? I’m looking for some good fortune for the Blazers in the draft lottery.

Get rid of "Maybe" and make it happen. Post it into existence. We need a merciful May for sure.

I think "Machiavellian May" is the way to go. All of our subterfuge of the system pays off.

The Suns are amazing. CP3 should be on the MVP list.

Jalen Green runs up a flight of invisible stairs to get this one. He's floating.

As of today 13 of 30 teams are 500 or below.
The league is built around mediocrity with usually only 1-4 legit contenders.
The league is all about play off basketball and now they are talking about a early/mid season tournament. Its what generates fandom, the HOPE your team can shock the world. Hope is addicting and the league is the pusherman.
Goddamn the Pusherman!

D’Antoni, Stotts Among Kings’ Coaching Targets?
April 9th 2022 at 1:20pm CST by JD Shaw

There appears to be a growing expectation that the Kings won’t name Alvin Gentry as their full-time head coach, according to Marc Stein of Substack. Gentry was named interim head coach when the franchise fired Luke Walton back in November.

Sacramento could be interested in veteran coaches, with Terry Stotts, Mike D’Antoni, Mike Brown and Steve Clifford being mentioned as likely candidates, according to Stein. Stotts and D’Antoni are coaching free agents, while Brown (Warriors assistant) and Clifford (Nets coaching consultant) work for teams.

The Kings will miss the playoffs for the 16th straight time this season, the longest streak in NBA history. The team has seen seven head coaches in the last decade: Keith Smart, Michael Malone, Tyrone Corbin, George Karl, Dave Joerger, Walton and Gentry.

Stotts, D’Antoni, Brown and Clifford all hold experience as former head coaches. Stein notes that D’Antoni has a strong relationship with Kings general manager Monte McNair, as both were together in Houston from 2016-20. Stotts is also expected to receive interest on the coaching market this summer.

Man, the Pels really are like the Stotts' Blazers in some ways. They beat bad teams but their defense gets sliced up by good teams even more than ours' did.

Go Knicks against Raptors tomorrow!!!
I am OK with the pelicans and ending in the 12th spot because when I run the tank -athon lottery similar simulator the pelicans end up In the top four too many times to feel confident that we will keep the pick.

It's worth remembering that they are playing without one of their best players ,Brandon Ingram.
