Trail Blazers fans' new LeBron James billboard goes up in Portland

Looks like the morons behind this stupid campaign met their Go Fund Me goal to actually put up a sign disrespecting and insulting LeBron James. Seriously, third option??? WTF?? LeBron is nobody's second option. Do they actually think telling LeBron the people of Portland think he would be the third fiddle behind Dame and C.J. will make him want to play here?

So, not only did they waste their money on something that is never going to happen, they have helped insure that it won't. Good job dumb asses.

Isn't the whole premise behind a joke that it's supposed to be funny? They've already spent $6800 on this. So, it's an expensive, unfunny joke. Good job guys.

There's 12 sponsors so roughly $567 isn't that much for a billboard with your name on it haha

We're a 3-seed. Let's look the 4 teams better than us:
HOU - Very hard to impossible for them to have the ability to acquire him. (CLE doesn't want any contracts via sign-and-trade, HOU is going to have a very hard time clearing cap space)
GSW - Not gonna happen, for multiple reasons but mainly they don't have the cap space.
BOS - Not going there because of Kyrie.
TOR - The only realistic option because they have decent contracts they could sign-and-trade for him.

And then there's us, and we're in the same boat as Toronto.

So the best two realistic options in the league are us and Toronto (Phili's up there too). There's worse teams with some appeal as well (mainly the Lakers).

Not saying he was coming here, but I don't believe there was no chance we'd get a meeting with him... until now.

It is funny if you don’t take it too seriously and realize it’s a shot at all the other cities pleading Lebron to join their team via a billboard that wont have ANY factor in his decision what so ever.

Did you protest when they posted the “Honk once for Oden, twice for Durant”?. It’s satire.

That's not even an apples to oranges comparison, that's how incomparable those two things are.

Who's to say it wasn't? We're the 5th best team in the league. We have a guy in Dame who LeBron already says he'd love to play with and a 2-guard in McCollum who's from LeBron's neck of the woods. We have Nike in our backyard, which he's noted. The other top teams aren't realistic options. I'm not saying it's not unlikely, but to say we have 0 chance is selling us short.
