What a snoozefest.. If only NBA teams were more even... They need to find a way to even out teams with the new CBA.

Which also happens to be the average age of the players on their roster. Coincidence? I think not!

Dirk should yell at everyone in the locker room and fire them up. 40+ loss doesn't happen to a hardworking team. They didn't fight.

At this point there are 3 or 4 teams in the west who DID NOT make the playoffs, but probably still would have shown up better than Dallas today. Absolutely embarrassing for the Mavs and their fans.

Agreed.

Absolutely horrible match up for DAL. They have a ton of PGs (and that's just Felton), but not a single one that can come close to guarding Westbrick. They have their choice of a midget, a fat ass or one of two grandfathers. Same with KD. Not that Chandler Parsons is All-Defense, but without him, they don't have anyone who can come close to guarding Durant. Look for both Westbrick and Durant to average about a point a minute in this series.

You may also see Billy Donovan pull a Popovich and actually rest his starters in a playoff series - and still pull off the sweep. OKC basically got a first round bye. They will sweep the Mavs, with their starters playing limited minutes and have about a week off between the 1st and 2nd rounds.

But... but.... Kingspeed said the Mavs in 6....

He is always awful in the playoffs. That's the real reason OKC traded him. He disappeared in 2012 Finals.
A 21 per average in the playoffs is not awful. He actually played very well in the playoffs last year.

Learn the game eric. Then post.

Nah, they were tanking for a lottery pick. Don't you know it's the conventional wisdom that you're better off missing the playoffs so you can add an unproven 20-year old to your already too young and inexperienced roster? Getting that 14th pick will make them contenders in no time.

Did he bet anyone???? HCP should have bet him double or nothing. Two birds, one stone.

He also hasnt taken any of the bets about the Blazers sweeping the Clippers. He's so confident in it, and we know he bets... but I guess he doesn't there.

This is mildly amusing writing.

Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley entered the picture and got into a skirmish with good friend Stephen Curry in the first quarter. Beverley tried to steal the ball from Curry and after the whistle the two were tangled up, leading Curry to voice his concern with a shove, followed by Beverley's own open-handed love tap to the neck area.

"It set the tone," Beverley said, who earned a technical foul on the play. "We didn't want to come out here and start fights -- of course not. That's not what we're trying to do. We're trying to go out here and play basketball. We're not backing down from anybody and we're trying to win a basketball series."

So are the Warriors, who conducted their own brand of justice as Draymond Green set a hard screen on Beverley later in the half that sent the point guard to the floor. It drew an offensive foul.

Exactly what tone does one set in a 26-point blowout loss?

Perhaps, "We're trying to go out here and play basketball, but were not very good at it, so we're going to act like whiny, douchebag, punk-ass bitches".

When was the last time ANY NBA point guard fell for Beverley's "mind games"? Let's see, Beverly had 2 points on 1-7 shooting in 20:29. Curry had 24 points on 8-13 shooting in 19:49. Way to set the tone Pat. Keep up the good work you talentless ass hat.

To me, the question is. When is the last time Beverley shut down an elite NBA point guard?
He's supposed to be a defensive stopper... Yet I can't remember a time when he made an elite point guard have a bad night.
In fact I remember him going at Lillard this season with "extra non-basketball related antics"..
Then Lillard went off after... To the point that he forced the to Rockets switch Ariza onto Lillard.
Tonight he did those "antics" and Curry went off after...
Last time I remember him doing anything vs an elite point guard is when he injured Westbrick in the playoffs.

To me this guy is a scrub. Daniel Gibson was a better player.... says a lot.

I was talking about the phrase choices of author Calvin Watkins, of overstated understatement. I like his sneaky little jokes.

Wes....I really loved the guy for all his Blazer years but he's just playing 3rd string ball this season if that..teams aren't even guarding him anymore. Of all the former Blazers that left..he's the guy I wanted to succeed but so much for that. I don't think he was ever very explosive to begin with so I don't see a huge jump in production next season or further down the road. Sad story. Of all the games I watched him play this season, he had two good ones, both against us. I never thought Wes would actually make Raymond Felton look good but he has.

Though, for the most part, I agree... people also need to remember that an achilles rupturing like Wes' did, typically takes about a year to return to the court & actually play in games. It's barely been over one year now, at this point... so, I'd wait until I see how he looks NEXT season, before essentially writing him off for good!

We ALL know Dude is a warrior!
