"It set the tone," Beverley said, who earned a technical foul on the play. "We didn't want to come out here and start fights -- of course not. That's not what we're trying to do. We're trying to go out here and play basketball. We're not backing down from anybody and we're trying to win a basketball series."

Exactly what tone does one set in a 26-point blowout loss?

Perhaps, "We're trying to go out here and play basketball, but were not very good at it, so we're going to act like whiny, douchebag, punk-ass bitches".

Come on, that's a little ridiculous. These fouls happened in the first quarter far before the game was out of reach.

The game was out of reach by the 2nd quarter. So, essentially, it did set the tone.

LeBron fouled Reggie Jackson twice in the first quarter.... They called both of the fouls on Jackson... wow. And the Pistons still have it tied after 1.

Steve Blake is actually playing really well.

and their bench is pulling away! lol. I actually have a $20 bet with a friend, that the pistons will win the series (I'm probably gonna lose 20 dollars)

This game, and series, was out of reach before the opening tip off. The score was already 11-4 and Beverly "setting the tone" did nothing to stem the incoming tide. If anything, it just fired up Steph Cuurry, his Golden State teammates and their already raucous crowd. It was a dumb ass move by a bitch ass player.

Curry had been relatively quite up until that point with only 2 points in the first five and a half minutes. In the final six and a half minutes of the quarter Curry went off for 14 points and GSW outscored HOU 22-11 to take a 33-15 lead after 1. Game over. Series over.

It looks like our boy Nico is the only one who showed up for Charlotte.

It would be hilarious to see the darling Warriors flame out!

Zbo and LMA both 1-6, helping to build Trump's wall brick by brick.

Good for him! He probably told the Zen Master to call him back in 10 or 15 years when he's managed to assemble something resembling an NBA roster.

Or that Jeanie offered him something that he's not interested in getting from Phil.

So far none of the series in the West even look competitive. 3 easy blow outs for the home team. Let's hope this is the exeption.

It's obvious the rockets are outmatched. But to say a game was out of reach in the first quarter is really asinine

Asinine? Perhaps, but correct. Beverly's antics provided the motivation for the Warriors to step on their throat and turn a 7-point lead into an 18-point lead after 1 quarter. HOU never got closer than 15 after that. So, yeah, pretty much out of reach. Beverly hurt his team. He pissed off the best player in the league and the best shooter ever, he inspired Curry's teammates and got the home crowd into the game. The word asinine definitely comes to mind...

raptors blew an 18 point lead down to 5

Deron Williams on fire, Mavs up 8

Raptors showing some life. A win here would be huge for the psyche of that team, they are too good to struggle so much in the first round.

The life of a Thunder fan:

*on jumbotron*
clap your hands
Stop clapping
Now cheer because your team just scored
Stop cheering, the player is on the line shooting free throws
Chant "OKC" three times in a row, with approximately 2 seconds inbetween each.
Stop chanting
Clap hands at a speed of 2 claps per second
Stop clapping
Remember to always remain entitled, as if this was always YOUR team
