When does the schedule usually come out? Around this time, yeah?

they said teams would get an opportunity to review the schedule to ask for changes for the league to review. I believe the teams received the rough draght end of last week

The teams have the schedule. They are making requests for date changes and waiting to hear back from the league. Teams always have the right to petition for a few changes to the schedule before the release. Assuming Friday, total guess.

If your a lakers fan you just assume every good FA ever wants to get on their knees and worship the yellow and purple jersey/trophies.
Lakers fans get on their knees for golden showers. They must think everyone does.

How many teams will petition playing the Warriors 4 times instead of 3? :bgrin:

It's kind of surprising that they can ask for revisions with arenas probably having shows booked throughout the year and probably super close to the dates already set for the games.

Do arenas have 2 days set up for each game? Man, that must be tricky running arena scheduling.

Man, that's like opening that last present under the tree and discovering that Aunt Mavis got you underwear.
You're crazy! The Sixers are going to be one of the more fun teams to watch this season FAMS!

Plus the Knicks with Ryan Anderson (after trading Melo and Porzingis for him, to avoid being blacklisted for a generation due to taking hostages) should be exciting as well!

Warriors may make a play for Paul George next offseason:

Don’t laugh or run out of the room screaming, AHHHH THE WARRIORS AHHHH ARE RUINING THE NBA AHHHH! Take a deep breath and hear me out: Someone extremely credible on the matter, someone who was on the Kevin Durant to Golden State bandwagon well before anyone else hopped on the train, believes owner Joe Lacob will try to add Paul George to the reigning NBA champions in 2018.

“I don’t know how that would happen,” The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami, the former California Sportswriter of the Year who has covered the NBA since the 1990s and the Warriors for more than a decade, told The Washington Post’s Tim Bontemps in a recent podcast, via SLAM, “and I didn’t know how it was going to happen three years ago when they said they were going to go after Durant.”

But …

The Athletic colleague and fellow former Mercury News columnist Marcus Thompson II “and I have teased this for more than a year: We think they’re going to go after Paul George somehow,” said Kawakami during a conversation framed by the larger context of Golden State’s salary cap and luxury tax restraints. “Joe Lacob’s going to find a way to get Paul George.”

(Insert unlimited bulging eye emojis here.)

“Joe Lacob likes collecting stars,” he added. “If he can do it in a way to get the team younger, they’re going to to do it. They’re going to try everything.”

Lillard went microseconds without speaking to teammates during the playoffs. Same thing, just a difference of degree.

The only way that is possible is if they do a sign-and-trade of Iggy and Livingston for Paul George.

But there's absolutely no way OKC gifts GSW another star. Not gonna happen.

It's proportional to the length of the teams' playoff runs.

That said, Kyrie has some screws loose upstairs. Good thing the earth is flat or else they'd roll out of his noggin'.

If George tells Oklahoma City that he's leaving regardless, their title contention is completely gone. At that point, it's pretty irrelevant for them how good Golden State is. Getting two solid players who fit in around Russell Westbrook may be more important to them than avoiding dealing with the team who took Durant.

I definitely think it's incredibly improbable that Golden State gets George without giving up someone like Thompson, but I'm amused that they keep swinging for the fences even up 12 in the ninth inning.

how? I just dont see how the money could possibly work out unless PG took like 13m for one year. Which....just, why would he do that? He's a little young to be throwing 12-14m dollars away right?

Yeah, that seems not likely to happen. It'd either have to be Iguodala and Livingston (plus picks) in a sign-and-trade for a maxed Paul George, or some deal involving Klay Thompson. I know the Warriors turned down Thompson-for-George earlier this offseason, but that was for free-agent-to-be George. The calculus might change with a newly-re-signed George.
