Warriors are so fun to watch. No Klay No Wiseman, No Wiggins No Problem

... and no Poole,
... on the road,
... against the team with the best record in the league.

Love Dame, but it's not close. Curry is better with the ball, and LIGHT YEARS better without the ball.

Hard to believe GP2 is 29 years old already. He's at his ceiling now, whereas Simons (in particular) is at the start of his career (still).

Is he inconsistent? Yeah..and his defense is sub-par. But Payton is inconsistent as hell too.

Curry is better but I have no clue how you concluded he has better stamina. I think the opposite is true. Coming into this season, Curry had averaged 34 minutes a game in 63 games a season. Dame had averaged 36 minutes a game in 76 games a season. Curry had averaged 2179 minutes a season. Dame had averaged 2753 minutes a season. If you add playoff minutes Curry has averaged 2532 minutes a season. Dame has averaged 3026 minutes a season

Curry probably runs more 'miles' a season than Dame...maybe, maybe not...I don't know. But that's not really reflective of stamina. Curry has had Klay and Durant to help carry the burden of scoring. And he's had Green to carry the burden of play-making and running the offense (and Iggy and Livingston). Curry has had assisted FG rates above 50% for a big chunk of his career. He hasn't had to create a majority of his own offense. The team offense has done that. Dame has not had the kinds of scorers helping him that Curry has. And he's never had anybody to share the burden of running the team offense. And while Curry has had assisted FG rates above 50%, Dame's rates have been below 30%.

in other words, Dame has had the twin burdens of being the #1 scorer while creating most of his own offense, and being the only effective player at running the team offense. And he's shouldered those burdens for an average of 500 more minutes a season than Curry. That sure seems like the definition of stamina. Dame is sure as hell more durable

Glad our game was cancelled against the Nets

I think that's fair. Though I think there was a better #2 to Kobe than B-roy, I just can't think of who. I know that may stir up some shit but I think there could be a conversation about other players there. Whereas with Jordan/drexler and curry/Lillard that's spot on.
I'm not sure anybody was harder to guard than B-Roy when he was healthy... He was either going to score or get fouled.

If it weren't for Nate's shitty "slow it down" system he could have averaged 30... And probably not lasted as long.

I wonder if that was part of the reason Nate ran such a slow it down offense?

There’s a lot of great 10 day contract that’s better than Blevins… just look at Stanley Johnson

I think a good comp someone brought up was wade.

I don't discount that broy may very well be the #2 to Kobe but it's just not as cut and dry as Jordan/drexler and curry/Lillard.

I wonder how Lillard and Curry would look like if we switch the teams. Lillard in GS with Klay and Draymond...
Exactly. When has mediocre team, Dame can get 6 seed. When Curry has mediocre team, he misses playoffs.

Patty Mills with an NBA record eight three pointers on Christmas Day. It’s great to see Patty finally getting the green light. He’s always done this for Australia, but has stuck to his role in the NBA. Thank you to KD, Steve Nash, and Sean Marks for bringing FIBA Patty to the NBA.

Who did we get with our MLE this year?

We definitely did not use it completely. I think because we signed Greg Brown III to a three year deal, that his just under 1M was under the umbrella of the TPMLE or sometimes referred to as mini MLE. To my knowledge no other player on the roster got a piece of the nearly 5M that was leftover. I do think that Olshey's plan was and maybe Cornin's plan still is to get our total cap number under the luxury tax apron that we're like 3.02M above right now (according to spotrac).

3M is actually a pretty easy amount to cut even while getting better. If CJ, RoCo and picks were used to get Simmons and the minimum amount of filler, that would either cut 7M or closer to 4M depending on if his trade kicker counts against our final cap number.

CJ and RoCo to Indy for Tuner and LeVert would get us way under. I think both trades make us better and both would make it so we would probably need to trade Nurk and make sure we didn't go back over the luxury tax apron if a big goal of the organization is to stay out of the tax this season.

Facts, sources? Or another way to bash dame again?

Curry IS better. But to say someone has better stamina is really fucking random when curry was injured way more than Lillard and therefore technically has "less miles".

It's okay. I forgive you. Yes, yes. I accept your apology.

And now we move on.

God damn!
Cleveland 118
Toronto 78
After 3!!!
Came to this thread to say that Cleveland is really good. They probably don’t even want to trade Love. 6-9 from 3… Boy it would be great to have him here.

Could have had him for cheap. Now that he is playing for a good team again, 'shockingly', he is playing better and miraculously healed. After those years of Finals runs, it was tough to be motivated in such a losing situation. Somewhat similarly, I think Simmons will turn it around fairly quickly albeit for different reasons once he moves on from Philly.

Was he really cut in favor of BlevGod?

Gary Payton II… just amazing how this guy improved.

The Warriors are unbelievable.
Hollinger predicted the Warriors would be 39-43 this season. Did anyone see this coming pre-Klay return? They didn’t make playoffs last year.
