The timing on this is hilarious--as Covid outbreaks are happening in the NBA and people wonder if a shutdown might be coming, the Nets decide this is the time to unleash their very famously unvaccinated player.

No, for those ready to take it that way, I'm not saying that Irving is necessarily going to cause an outbreak himself (though he certainly could). I'm saying that the symbolism of this timing is funny to me.
