The only way Pops moves onto a new team is if someone like LeBron asks him and SA completely falls apart. LeBron respects the hell out of Pops and would take a more traditional player role to the HOF coach.

Kawhi Leonard reportedly got medical clearance, but was not seen at the Spurs’ first practice after the break on Wednesday. Adrian Wojnarowski made it clear on Thursday the decision to return will be Leonard’s call. “He’s been cleared medically by the Spurs’ doctor and outside doctors, and it’s on him, his own threshold of pain or discomfort, about when he will return,” Wojnarowski said.

Yep. Friend of mine this past weekend was talking about this - he’s very close with Patty Mills. It’s very odd what’s going on with Kawhi.

I know why they have the extended All-Star break but it sucks going a week in between games. Today would be the trade deadline in past seasons so we'd have a lot more to talk about during the down time. I wish they kept it the same.

Very close with Patty. Both played at St Marys, where I went. He lives here in Portland. Patty and him speak or text almost daily, go on vacations, etc. Says that this Kawhi thing is weird. He is cleared to play medically. But he either has pain or 'remembers' the pain and just cant over it. Doesn't have a pain tolerance. I can only imagine how this rubs old-school Popovich. Would not be surprised if they part ways, but will of course take an incredible offer. Anthony Davis...
