I still think that the foreign team should be selected from guys who do not play in the NBA. If you want that format then do that. Guys who play in the US/Canada have work permits to play in these NBA countries. They are playing for North American franchises. It would showcase the best players overseas who are professional hoopers overseas.

What???

You want guys who can't make it in the NBA to be selected to the NBA all star game? No thank you.

To make up the foreign team. Not to be selected as allstars. A real foreign team that doesn't have Norman Powell born in San Diego playing for Jamaica because his ancestors are from there for example. Overseas markets have their league stars. Otherwise you are picking allstars for ethnic considerations and not for their actual market in the world. In my view Deni would play for an NBA allstar team that writes his check. You and I might define "foreign" differently when it comes to what they're going to do...I'd also add they should have a "foreign' coach. It's not like anyone takes these games seriously anyway. The NBA has 135 foreign born players...most who have worked here for many years now. There are also many players that prefer playing in other leagues to the NBA...not because they can't play in the NBA...Spain and France are stocked with them. Rudy Fernandez couldn't wait to go back to Spain to play.

I think Ja gets moved and Giannis stays for now. Giannis sending mixed signals and Bucks not in a rush. Ja going East, likely Miami

I read that we were shopping Rupert hard for a roster spot for Sidy. They didn't mention Caleb though.

Is this quota system devised to ensure there are "enough" foreign players on the all star team, or that there aren't too many? Either way, it's bullshit. If a guy plays in the NBA, and deserves to be on an all star team, where they were born shouldn't decide whether they get in or cause a more deserving player to be left off. (Hypothetically)
did you know that the French word for quota is....quota?

on a scale from pleased to postal, now will you feel about us not making another move?
