76ers are on a roll. Beat Bucks last night to make it 4 wins in the last 5 games (and 6 in the last 8). The losses came to Celtics in Boston (a marginal 4-point loss too) and in Washington when they were resting Embiid. They could be a playoffs material as early as next season (downside for them is they are probably not getting no. 1 picks next year if they carry on playing like this, but with so many point guards in the draft anyway it doesn't matter that much - they could draft a star PG at 5 or 6).
Good points.
I love Embiid. His reactions are awesome, he's always smiling, asking the crowd to stand up and cheer, such an entertainer and seems to love playing the game so much. Philadelphia fans must love having him there after those grim years. They had to wait two years for him but God was it worth it.

Did you see him coming down from the rim at the end of our games though. Serious concerns about his knees. I hope he doesn't go out like oden.
I'm shocked the refs called it.

They did call it, right?

Didn't look like they were gonna until half of gsw pointed it out and they had to.

Pelicans beat Cavs without Anthony Davis. Warriors lost in Miami on a Waiters three.
We didn't get any help tonight in regards to the 8th seed. Kings won at Detroit. Pelicans beat the Cavs. Clippers also won.

And who was trying to guard the Soup Juggler on his game winning 3? Klay Thompson. Overrated defender (this doesn't mean his isn't a good defender, just that he isn't a great one like some think)

Love how in a night full of surprised Spurs just typically hammered Nets by 20+. They don't do that shit, do they.

SAS is such a tightly run ship, even on nights when they rest their three best players, they can, and do, hang with anyone.

“We’re not better than last year, from a personnel standpoint … we’re a top-heavy team. I just hope that we’re not satisfied as an organization,” James said of winning the franchise’s first-ever NBA championship, according to the Akron Beacon Journal’s Jason Lloyd. “I just hope we not satisfied. How hard it was to do that s***. I just hope we’re not satisfied.”

James added following the 124-122 loss in New Orleans, via ESPN.com’s Dave McMenamin: “It’s like when you don’t have bodies. It’s tough. The f***ing grind of the regular season. We’re a top-heavy team. We have a top-heavy team. We top-heavy as s***. It’s me, [Irving], [Love]. It’s top-heavy.”

“No disrespect to DeAndre and to Kay, you think we can rely on them to help us win a playoff game right now? And it’s no disrespect to them. But it’s like, it’s not fair to them.”

“It’s tough for Coach because we’re in the process of trying to win a f***ing championship. It would’ve been unfair to [Matthew Dellavedova] to ask him his rookie year to play on a championship-level team. So that’s why you got guys in front of him that allows him to [grow]. We telling Kay to be a backup point guard to a f***ing superstar right now, instead of being a backup point guard to a guy that’s proven in the league. You know what I’m saying?”

Do they want Turner?

Lebron is going full on Kobe.

The fact that you don't know why is telling.
Sick burn bro.

So should players get technicals when they do the hand signals for traveling, or jump ball, or double dribble, or anything else?

I put my 10,000+ hours in refereeing. I know what's sportsmanlike and what's not and what deserves a technical foul and what doesn't. Don't ask stupid questions. But since you clearly don't understand, I'll explain it.

What Muiday (sp?) was doing was taunting.

Taunting is:
  1. Completely unnecessary and avoidable.
  2. Bush league.
  3. Unsportsmanlike.
And yes, I woulda wacked his ass for that unsportsmanlike display.

In the West Linn gym there's a sign that should be in every gym nationwide. It says:

KNOW YOUR ROLE
Spectator
Player
Coach
Referee

So, since I don't ever need to tell coaches and players when to call motion or a pick and roll, I don't need to be told when to call a foul or traveling.

I'm versed and knowledgeable.

When coaches/kids do what's bolded, first I'll sarcastically thank them for their help while making it completely obvious I don't need it with a smile and eye contact. If it continues I'll come down and tell a coach:

"Hey call motion next play"

Then smile again. By then they usually get it and tell their kids wassup. If it goes any further I'll ask the player/coach what their role is.

Because doing what's bolded is unsportsmanlike. It's not tech worthy, but it's irritating as fuck because if you let it continue it becomes them yelling for a call at the top of their lungs. So you hafta nip that shit in the bud quick or it'll get outta hand. And THEN you may end up having to give a warning and assess a tech for more obvious reasons.

Now that's from college on down. NBA players would obviously get more leeway. You probably won't say anything to an NBAer for mimicking a traveling signal.

Buuuuut.... What Muiday did was at a time when punishment was being handed out in the form of an ejection. You've gotten what you want. No need to taunt in a situation like that.
