huh?

career numbers....

FTA/minute: Nurkic .15....Whiteside .14
FTA/36: Nurkic 5.5....Whiteside 5.1
FGA/36: Nurkic 14.9....Whiteside 13.4
FTA rate: Nurkic .368....Whiteside .379
usage rate: Nurkic 24.6%....Whiteside 22.0%
TS%: Nurkic .529....Whiteside .594

I guess one way to look at it is that he's "active" because he puts up more shots and has a higher usage rate. But the reason he has a little higher FTA/minute and FTA/36 is simply because he shoots more. But he does so with less efficiency

another way to gauge 'activity' for a post player is rebounding and shot-blocking; Whiteside is much better at that....and no, I'm not saying shot-blocking means better defense

wut? Walton was drafted, and was so "attracted" to Portland he left the very first moment he could and then filed a lawsuit against the Blazers. Whiteside was traded for.

if you went thru and listed the best 50 Blazers, probably 45 or more were landed in the draft or by trade. The last couple of good free agents Portland signed were Rod Strickland and Brian Grant, about 5 or 6 CBA's ago
Carmelo Anthony

Wow utah is 9-0 since getting jordan clarkson. What a piece of shit franchise we turned into

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a 20-20-10 game tonight. Maurice Lucas did it after he was a Blazer. The only ones in the last 10 years are DeMarcus Cousins 3 times, Westbrook once.

Grizzlies are super fun right now.

Part of it is some unsustainable hot shooting, but Jenkins has them playing fast and free offensively.

Talent meshes well too on that end.
  • Morant is playing with supreme confidence. Has looked excellent in both halfcourt and transition. So dynamic and explosive with the ball and has done a good job using that to not only score but to set up his teammates where they can attack an advantage.
  • JJJ and Jonas make for a pretty lethal roll/pop combo that also have some interchangeability. Both have enough feel and decision making to run handoff/highpost stuff with.
  • They've got two dominant finishers in Jonas and Brandon Clarke. Elevated alongside a creator like Morant that can draw two and also has great natural feel/insincts/good lob thrower to set them up.
  • Can't really defend or rebound with the Clarke/JJJ front line but JJJ's high volume/elite 3 point shooting and Clarke's insane finishing is hard to handle.
  • Dillon Brooks (although his confidence outweighs his real ability) and Jonas post ups are also decent late clock options as well.
  • High feel/instincts role guys like (SloMo, Melton, Tyus) are also doing a good job filling in the gaps on both ends.

Only disappointing thing with them right now for me is Jaren's defensive development.

Looked good today when Houston went 5 out with no center and guarding PJ Tucker. Just ignored him and focused solely on timing Harden's drives at the rim (had some massive blocks) but everywhere else is still pretty rough.

Decision making and positioning isn't great. Looks wobbly/clumsy on switches and overall just isn't consistently a presence or in the right spot as much as I'd like him to be or thought he'd be at this point. Still fouls too much and can't anchor, track and pursue the ball well enough to not be terrible on the defensive glass.

Memphis is so so good! And they are so young as well. Ja and JJJ have been incredible lately and I cannot believe they got Melton for nothing.

Man teams like Memphis with Morant and Jaren Jackson jr, teams like dallas with Luka and Porzingas, okc with their new stud PG are completely passing us up with their future. It’s unbelievable what happened to us and the roster we have

Can't trade CJ though because he's best buds with Dame on & off the court.

Looks as if

Looks as if BonesJones was right when he said he thought Morant might be the best guy in this draft. One amazing thing I have noticed is how few turnovers this young team has.

Seriously though, shout out to the Jazz for winning 10 straight and even the Grizz for going on a roll right now.

Fuck man all these teams passing us up with their stud young guys. First Luka now we gotta worry about this kid for years to come. Smh I feel like rebuilding and finding the next great one

You do realize that some media people have said the same about 1M and Zack Collins right? Now if you think TMac is the only opinion then so be it but seriously there are a bunch of opinions.
Now don't get me wrong Morant is good. But he isn't putting up the numbers Lillard did his first year and he certainly isn't putting up what Lillard is now? Granted he is 20 and will continue to improve. But this kid is just another good player at this point.

Morant: 18/4/7 in 30 MPG @ 20 y/o.
Dame: 19/3/7 in 39 MPG @ 22 y/0.

Morant also shoots better percentages.

Sure. Not gonna even start arguing this. Ridiculous stat comps.
The guy is a good player. But are you going to cry about every good player that comes into the league? Really?

It's mutual. We all feel like rebuilding and finding your next troll account.
i partially blame kingspeed. after dame's .9 heroics and his trolling of clutchfans then coming back here and bragging about it, i am convinced that many of the troll accounts that repeatdly show up are in retaliation for his publicly embarrassing members of the rocket's fan forum. i have noticed accounts that were commenting during game threads using the "royal we" when talking about rocket players in games we were playing them as the opponent or referencing rocket victories at low points in blazer games even if we eventually won the contest. it gets old but one can only hope they eventually grow out of it. course Putin probably could help with some sort of job placement services for these individuals. the fanboys of the former rocket kyle lowery are easily discernible for what they are .

Ja Morant man
Yeah man Ja Morant is gonna change the game for sure. Just like
Luka Doncic
Ben Simmons
Malcolm Brogdon
Remember when Karl Anthony Towns was gonna be unstoppable?
I remember when Andrew Wiggins was going to be absolutely the MVP juggernaut.
There was a guy named Micheal Carter Williams that was gonna be a league MVP for sure too.
Too bad we are stuck with that Damian Lillard guy. He was only was the ROY and 4 time All-Star.
You know the year before Lillard started playing this guy named Kyrie Irving was considered the cats meow.
Of course we all thought Blake Griffin was guaranteed multiple championships.
Tyreke Evans, Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose and who can forget Brandon Roy.

No i'm not really worried about a 6-3 PG playing for the Grizz. I hope he has a great career. I hope i get a chance to enjoy it as well.

Bottom line. Basketball is a team game. One player does not win much.

im not saying anything about him besides pointing out your assertion as false
