Pretty good jinx you place there. So far, you're 0-2 with the NOP game (the one that really matters most) not looking good either.

The CLE & ORL games are still too early to tell yet

Edit: you ended up 1-4 for the night...not a whole lot of breaks for Blazer fans

Those weren't predictions. @Strenuus asked who we should cheer for, not who we thought would win.

Clips, Nuggs, and Jazz all tied for 8th now. The Blazers are a full 4 games up on that trio now. It's nice to get a little separation from the back of the pack.
good advantage considering our tough schedule... lets keep the streak alive!

I bet Malone gets fired if they miss the playoffs. He’s been.... not good. That roster has too much talent to me missing the playoffs.
based on pure talent, offensively I think theyre only behind GSW & HOU, just too much fire power, but their defense is non-existent

for example, look at this, they often have games like this, look at the starting five...

OT: I just want to take a quick moment to congratulate all the Beaver's fans on their victory last night in Overtime against the Huskies. You guys won THIS one. Kudos.

Craziest part in this whole 8 game win streak is that all the other top teams in the conference have streaks going also. Houston 17 games. Golden State 6 games. The Pels 10 games.
We know one of those streaks will end Friday. I'm thinking it's getting time for Houston to lose a game eventually. Houston has a game at Toronto coming up. The Pels have Washington and the Jazz coming up.
Of course the Blazers have GS, Mia and then the Cavs. I would say the toughest is without a doubt is what the Blazers are looking at.

Anyone know what Nikola Mirotic's winning % is for this season? (Just a reminder: I wanted us to draft him instead of Nolan Smith. Just in case anyone needed reminding.) What with the streak that Chicago went on when he came back from The Punch and now New Orleans' streak... I wonder if re-signing Boogie is starting to look less attractive to their front office?

That seems like a no brainer. No question that team is stacked with Cousins on it. That's like saying the Blazers played better without Lillard so let him go. There is actually a thread that discusses it being laughed at as we speak. Now the Mirotic thing doesn't seem to hold much water either. Kind of like the "Cuban finger missile crisis". Borrowed that title from that thread. Really like it.

Did you lose a bet?

Like Doc Rivers, Thibs has a thing for his previous players

We got this

Knicks should have bought out or waived and stretched Joakim Noah before March 1. They are paying him his full salary to do nothing.

Brian Grant. I know it was officially a 3-team sign and trade that netted us Kemp (ugh), but the reason we lost him is because he was a free agent and Whitsitt didn't want to pay him what MIA was offering.

BNM
Meh.

Well, this is one way to end an NBA game.

Mistakes happen.... what I don't understand is how they decided to jump the ball when Orlando never actually got to have a possession. It should have just been a reset and Orlando gets another shot. Why do we even have replay if it can't prevent something like this from happening?

Thats screwed up...the clock people in LA up to some dirty shit. Officials should have replayed that possesion instead of calling a jumpball. Magic didn't get a chance at a fair possesion. If that would have been the Blazers I would be irate.

How did 7 foot Lopez play a whole game without grabbing a rebound?

Actually, Clips at 8th. No tie.

No, don't say dumb things. They are all 4 games back of us. Please don't continue your stupid argument that ties don't occur.

TECHNICALLY the Clippers are in 8th but they've played two less games but since you can't have less games at the end of the season that means they are all tied. This isn't even debatable.

What a crock! Since the idiot (home) scorekeeper started the clock prematurely and the horn went off before anyone touched the ball, it should be a dead ball and go back to the Magic to inbound again. I'm almost guaranteeing if it had been the other way and the Lakers with the ball and need a basket, there wouldn't have been a jump ball at half court.

What a joke!

They will 100% resign Cousins if he agrees to it. You don't let a player like him leave.

Mirotic can play at the 3 or be the backup at 4 still playing 25-30 minutes a night (Davis moving to 5 when Cousins is off).

One of the most fun to watch teams right now. Rondo has been ace, ditto Holiday.

My guess is that one ref (and probably the Lakers' timekeeper) thought that the Magic player guarding touched the in-bounds pass. The other one didn't agree so they decided to go to the jump ball. Maybe that isn't one of the things that's reviewable in the last two minutes?
