I tend to agree with Morey that talking down the style of play is neither good for the league, nor is it a valuable contribution. You can cast Morey as "biased" because he was one of the major contributors to the league's play style, but the commentators probably have equal bias, watching a style of play that's antithetical to the style that they made their fame coaching or playing in. It also makes them less fit to actually analyze the quality of the play and the tactics--just as someone who dislikes Chinese food would be ill-equipped to analyze the quality and the techniques of Chinese cooking for people who are interested in and enjoy Chinese food.

It reminds me back in the day of playing American Legion baseball at Sckavone field in the summers and my parents use to tell me about 3 or 4 guys probably in their 70's that came to almost every game and sat and complained about today's (back then) baseball players just not knowing how to play the game anymore.

Wow, Celtics blow game to the Nets as Marcus Smart fouls Levert with ,2 seconds to go shooting a 3 and Boston was up by 3. Makes all three and on to overtime where the Nets dominate and pull out an 8 point win in Boston. Boston also had an 18 point lead early in the 4th.

I turned it off when Boston was up quite a bit to spend time with my kids. They mustve really choked.

Good news. Pelicans lost at home to impressive Timberwolves team.

Impressive Timberwolves? They have the second worst record in the west and have a 3-7 record over their last 10. Why are they impressive?

Wow. They didn't have Tatum though. Still, what a big mistake by Smart. So many big 4th quarter comebacks in the NBA this year.

They are a MUCH better team with Malik Beasley now. Plus, they have Juancho and DLo. They are not the same team that sucked all year. With a full training camp with the new guys plus KAT back, they will be tough team to deal with next year.

do you know how many times I have heard that this is the year for TWolves and they will finish ahead of the Blazers? Way to many. A better word might have been improving TWolves and not impressive as they haven't done anything to impress.

Beating desperate Pels in NO is impressive. Or maybe Pels are overrated.

Damn Hornets had a shot in the last possession to beat the Spurs but no. Helpful Pelicans loss at home!

No offense dude, but how many times have we heard this? If Jimmy Butler couldn't "save" them, I rather doubt Beasley is up to it!

Jimmy Butler did save them. They were good that year when he played.

Turning off a basketball game to spend time with your kids? I really have to question your priorities.

Remember, your kids will be there tomorrow, but that game was a live event and is now gone forever.

Holy shit, actually Wizards are only down 8 now.

Kings 27 point halftime has been cut to 7 in less than 7 minutes of play.

Warriors win in Denver. Fire Malone
Serious question, do you think his style will work in the long run? He’s come out and publicly said some pretty harsh things about his team a few times, even calling them soft. Think he loses the players at some point?

possible but he’s pretty established now. Don’t see them messing with it. Maybe the stuff we don’t see is really positive and good and players like him
