He's saying it because Kanter was NOWHERE near the situation. It had been settled and cleared up and THEN he came running up and got in Bron's face. Had he been in the middle of it, I would bet dviss would think differently of it. But he ran all the way over AFTER it was over. Thats like that kid when we growing up that waits till the fight is broken up and 8 people are between the two dudes and THEN they start talking shit!
This. This. This.
Reminds me of the time I prevented a fight one time between Cleveland and Jesuit Varsity Boys. I could tell the whole story but I don't have enough time right now.
The PG from Cleveland, after I had the situation WELL under control, sprints from half court and then.... Stops... Then starts breathing in the kids face that I just gave a tech to.
I step in between them and physically separate them. I T'd him up and Jesuit ended up shooting free throws. His mother yells from the stands
"DON'T YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY SON!!!"
First of all... Cleveland is MY ALMA MATER... Her son is completely disrespecting MY gym... (plus EVERYONE there knows me. I played on the same team as the assistant coach in 93') So I'm taken a bit aback by his idiotic behavior.
I responded:
"Your
PUNK son, didn't want to fight in the first place! Why did he run from half court and stop?? He had every opportunity to throw a punch but he stands there breathing like a FOOL."
"If he stayed his
PUNK BUTT (
wanted to say punk ass) at half court like he was supposed to, Jesuit wouldn't be shooting free throws right now! I'm SURE you came today to see your son play basketball not fight right???"
I then turn to the crowd (they're completely on my side) and ask "Now, is anyone fighting???" I take a slight bow and say "you're welcome".
Moral of the story:
If you're gonna fight fucking fight. Don't be a
PUNK and run up to talk shit. You run up to fight...
