Really liking Jonathon Isaac from Orlando, 6th pick in the draft. Reminds of a Durant light. Very fluid player, good handles and a sweet shooting stroke. Magic may have finally found a good one. Too bad he's in Orlando.

So he'll be wearing a Lakers jersey in 4 years?

Crabbe with 14 points in 10 minutes. Jack, in his (can you believe it?) 13th season, started for the Knicks.

It is a little ironic that you can't see the actual Around the NBA October thread (which has plenty of posts in it) because you are ignoring HCP.

Is Melbourne a top team in the NBL?
This season, on paper, yes. But it's the start of the season, and Melbourne has changed half their roster, so we'll find out. They came 6th out of 8 teams last season, but the NBL is a very even league, and any team can beat anyone on any given night.

To further put it in context, the NBL has a $1,100,00 AUD ($855,000 USD) soft cap. They don't publish player salaries, but teams don't go greatly over. In addition, teams are only allowed to have 3 non Australian/NZ players.

I'm happy that Melbourne lost, but find it funny that OKC had to play their stars so much to get it done.

Ferguson sums up my feelings about Melbourne.

So, let's pretend that taking Chandler is the price for being able to add Bledsoe and Dudley to our bench. Is there any deal that makes that possible for us and also makes sense for Phoenix?

Trade machine has their combined salaries at 37.5 million! Tough to make that work for both sides.

No way, man.

TPE for Dudley, and then this as a separate deal. If PHX doesn't do it, I don't care and walk away. The only player with value is Bledsoe - Chandler has negative value, and Dudley is probably worth somewhere between a 2nd Rounder and Shumpert.

I was just seeing what it would take to make numbers match, not making a reasonable trade.

Sure, Chandler has negative value--no argument there. But so do the guys you're trying to send out in exchange for him and Bledsoe. Where's the benefit from Phoenix's end for that deal?

I don't care about PHX! :) In fact, of all the places I've been in the world, Phoenix is my least favorite.

There are at least 15 teams that will get a "have a good summer" congratulations soon.
