Proving what point, that Doug left because of HCP? You realize that maybe I'm not saying much, because if he comes back in the future I don't want people to give him shit over what he told me over PM?

You never mentioned that until just now...

But our backcourt this year has been playing stellar D.

Still TBD, IMO. We've played some pretty weak back courts thus far, and Giannis pretty much shut down our 2-headed monster in crunch time, so I'm withholding judgment until seeing what we do against good competition.

No thanks to our back court.

Be it as it may, my conversation with the HCP about the pups vs. the Blazers is what I was commenting on. Even if ours is crap and their is crap++ - we are still smelling better than them. (It also helps that ours smells like roses so far this year)

I disagree.

Bledsoe+Booker
Collison+Oladipo (They've been killin it)
Brogdon+Middleton

All those are good backcourts.

That was the year of Paul Westhead when the Nuggets didn't even try to play defense. They literally left their opponents wide open and dared them to shoot early in the shot clock so they could get the ball back, made or missed, and run down to the other end and jack up a shot as quickly as humanly possible. Paul Westhead's run and gun offense made Mike D'Antoni's 7 second or less offense look like something out of Nate McMillan's playbook.

LOL at myself. I ASSUMED that was the year of Westhead. It wasn't. That was the lockout shortened 50-game 1998-99 season.

And this is the funny part: the Nuggets head coach that year - Mike D'Antoni!

And beyond all that, Lillard passes the eye test.

Lillard passes the Microscope test!

You do realize, there was a second half to the statement?

Those are name recognition back courts, not good ones.
What?

Bledsoe is a top 12-15 PG (a loaded position, so that doesn't do him justice).
Booker is a top 6-7 SG

Collison is the most underrated PG in the league. So far this season he's averaging 17ppg and 9ast per 36, on 53/37/88 splits (a 64.5 TS%).
Oladipo seems to be in an organization that's finally using him right on the offensive end. Orlando is a trainwreck and in OKC he played off-ball way too much.
Oladipo is averaging 29ppg per 36 on 50/44/88 splits with a 64.1 TS%.

Brogdon is the reigning rookie of the year, and Middleton has always been an efficient 15ppg-ish scorer.

His DBPM is 4.5. Higher than his OBPM of 3.5.

His struggle on the offensive end is likely because he's not used to giving 110% effort on both ends of the court. He's in good enough shape, he just needs to get his body used to never taking a break when he's on the court.

But they suck.....:smiley-lol_hitting:

Malcom Brogdon name recognition? Ask most casual fans who he plays for, what position he plays and where he's from. I bet most get two out of three wrong and half think he's a British actor that was in that movie about a jewel thief.

Bledsoe might have been that good a couple years ago. He's barely starter material now. Booker was that good at times last year, but he's not nearly as good as his reputation.

Collison is average at best for starting PGs, and that's being pretty generous. Oladipo is a rich man's Thomas Robinson, living on draft hype and hoping to play up to that level.

Yes, of course you would hone in on the one exception to the list, which I only referenced collectively.

If a dude posts regularly, gets attacked, then stops posting, it's pretty obvious already. What the dude said to me made it more obvious.

You should teach him not to believe everything he hears, but also not to completely denounce and blast what someone's saying if they don't disclose every bit of information.
"ATTACK" You and your friends were the ones that started complaining and bitching about all things The HCP nonstop. I stood up for myself along with a bunch of others on here.

I don't think Khris Middleton is exactly a household name among non-die hard NBA fans. I bet most casual fans can't even spell is name correctly.

None of those guys have the kind of name recognition to draw in viewers. You need the LeBrons, Durants, Hardens, Westbrooks, etc. to do that.

It never ends.

False.
Just have to be wise enough when it doesn't matter what you say.
Some people are locked into a certain way of thinking no matter what. These people aren't worth the time, especially on a fan forum.

Lmao.

You're so far off, and I based my argument in stats. You base your argument on...?

Yeah, we just started bitching at you for the fuck of it. Wasn't prompted by anything.

VCP, not HCP

I have fun with it now lmao.

I'm sorry your feelings were hurt.

He always has to play the "a bunch of others had my back" to make himself feel more justified, as if it was just him he wouldn't be sure he wasn't wrong.
