And here we are middling around the 8th seed.

I think you're selling us a bit short. 5th maybe 4th.

OKC is gonna take time (will they ever figure it out?).

I think Minny is overrated.

MFs in here need to stop with this Clippers crap.

And watch Houston have problems.

I get that it is preseason against much less intensified D, but so far the offense (in the first 3 quarters) seems to be coming a little easier. Last year, although they scored well, they had to really work at getting good shots, and so far this year Nurk, Dame, CJ, seem to be getting easier looks. They don't look like they are trying as hard. Which I think means it can get better when they turn it up a notch. As long as Nurk stays healthy. He opens up the offense so much.

Plus their D looks better too.

I think we'll be top 4 based on what I'm seeing in preseason. It all depends on health though. As it does for every team.
Top 4 lottery ranking in the west? Sounds about right. Just kidding, but we are likely closer to that than top 4 in the entire west.

He went to Grant when it was predominantly black. When you grow up around black people you have a better understanding of how to relate and you don't say "wassup dog" unless they're actually your dog...

We only had like 6 black kids at my high school, that would surely be considered nothing in Portland, right? We had a lot of Mexican and Indian kids though. A few Vietnamese kids too, but they kind of had their own clique and didn't talk to anyone else.

Depends on the school. This is the demographic breakdown of my district's high school. Love our diversity.

Here's my old high school, the Native has definitely gone down from when I went.

lol maybe I'm just an anomaly but it never accured to me to ever refer to a black person/friend as "my dog" let alone anyone else.

Wait hold on though... I went to McKay and it's predominantly Hispanic... I've never felt closer to @HCP until now lol

Not sure where you guys are getting these numbers but my high schools in the 90's were Jefferson, Grant, and Cleveland. All pretty diverse. Gentrification has ruined that tho.

This is Klamath Falls, there's legitimately one nice neighborhood where the doctors live, lol. My old school is the "other" school in town, but at least they're third in the state for 4A football and they kick the "best" school's ass in football every year.

I think there was one black dude in my entire senior class. LOL! Pretty white bread at the time in Beaverton.

We will see, I'm still concerned about being able to defend western teams. and I'm really concerned about scoring off the bench.

As you should be. It's cool that Swanigan looks ready but also not real good planning from a GMs point of view to rely on rookies like that.

It's all about Chiloquin if you want to get stabbed or shot by an Indian on a bridge (That has happened twice in like a month on the same bridge)!
My best friend in grade school, AJ, lived in Chiloquin basically from 1989 on. He was a super nice kid. Mom was native iirc.
