  • Tell Melo to fuck off. I already said Wemby is the best player in the league.

Is this real? How’s that even possible?
There are more sites reporting it but no big sites yet. Maybe he didn't pass a physical or more likely a player was cut from another team that the Bulls like more for that spot.

Prepping for my fantasy draft I watched a bit of the Lakers v Kings last night. While Luka was going on and on whining to the refs about a no call where replays showed nothing happen, Lakers announcer Danny Green went into full defense mode. He said some players just get officiated differently & play by a different set of rules... & thats okay because everyone knows about it & is fine with it.

btw, I was impressed by Kings rookie Nique Clifford. He's got feel for the game and is a good athlete, he'll be a solid pro

I wish we had a player that would whine and complain and put up the numbers Luka does on OUR roster. This city would LOVE it!

    That makes sense
I believe we just did this last month, no? I’m not up to speed on player transactions, especially those who wont even play for us, but I think that if we sign them like this, we get their rights if we send them down to the G. Having the ability to bring them up if one of our guys got injured obviously, but more realistically, to be used as a practice player out at the PF.

Yeah, there is a method to this madness. Something about gaining a players rights to do whatever you want in the future.

It doesn't work that way. If a guy puts up huge numbers in a small market and whines continually, they get T'd up & portrayed as a malcontent. Whining only works to a talented player's benefit if they play for a team the league favors and even then it's pretty minimal... basically they're just a spoiled crybaby used to getting extra and still wanting more.

The point of my post was to demonstrate the arrogance of the Lakers to think that everyone is on board with their players getting favored treatment to the point that they'll openly talk about it as a good thing in everyone's view. Among others, I'm sure the Kings players and fans still aren't okay with that dynamic. I'm sure PTB fans would love it if the game was officiated evenly/fairly for all. That said with the Blazer fanbase potentially expanding by 100s of millions, we may well see a shift in their favor... hopefully they keep the entitled whining to a minimum and compete with class.

In all the years SNL has been a "thing" I have seen maybe ten episodes. But that episode was one I actually watched, for Connie Hawkins alone. What a great basketball player he was, and what a travesty it was that he lost so many years of his prime. Anyone looking for a great read should try to find a copy of "Foul; The Connie Hawkins Story" (fairly pricey right now). A wonderful "redemption" story........
