Remember everybody that wanted to tank for Flagg? He’s been pretty disappointing to start his rookie career. I know people are going to say something like “Give him time, he’ll come along”, but look at star players their rookie season. Look at Wembanyama, look at Lillard. Flagg doesn’t have that…I wouldn’t say he’s a bust, but he’s far from living up to expectations.
4 games in? Remember he’s already been scouted before he was even picked.
Maybe try looking at him after 1000 minutes or so?

It is early, but Orlando surprises me. Not just because they are 1-3 against average teams, but because they are shooting well and still losing. The Bane-Suggs backcourt got lit up last night.

Are they still playing him at point guard, because that could have something to do with his struggles.

I’m just saying, we’ve seen Star level players come in and dominate from day 1. He’s got a way to go if he wants to be at that same level.

I don't see how that huge Dallas lineup won't continue to get dominated by every backcourt they see - I don't care how well he moves for his size, Flagg cannot stay with a guard in a pick and roll situation.

Bulls at 3-0 over playoff/playin teams is a little surprising early. They seem very balanced.

that Atlanta trade with the Pelicans is looking even better than it did at the draft, and it looked great then

Hawks get the Pels 2026 pick and the Pels are 0-3 right now. It could be a top-4 pick; or #1 pick. They got Asa Newell too. All because the Pels desperately wanted Derik Queen. Yikes!

I'm still assuming the Blazers were offered that deal before Atlanta was. And the Blazers turned that down because they wanted Yang more than a good chance at a top-4 pick in 2026. Yikes 2.0!

Yeah: the sexy choices (Orlando, Detroit, Atlanta) are struggling, and meanwhile the Bulls are thriving. Weird. What's extra weird is that their defense is so strong and yet they're still playing Vucevic big minutes. Did he suddenly learn to be a good defender late in his career? I guess Brook Lopez did it... But their unsung hero is definitely Ayo Dosunmu. Add him to Kyshawn George among "players nobody foresaw having a breakout year"

He doesn’t turn 19 until Christmas

Lol

Flagg will come around but he hasn't done much whelming yet, which, given his college success and the hype is notable

I'm not going to say give it time, I'm just going to say drawing any conclusions from a four game sample isn't the wisest way to go about things.

I believe it was reported there was a lot of confusion what NOP were offering and what protections were on the pick. I haven't ever heard the Blazers were offered thr same deal.

One of my suspicions is NOP tried to trade with us among other teams, but with protections and when they didn't get close to a deal they panicked and overpaid shortly there after with Atlanta.

So you’re telling me that this Golden State vs Clippers game isn’t tipping off until 11:11pm Eastern!!?? HOLY SHIT! National TV games are usually about an average of 35 minutes longer than regular games. BRO! Tell me THAT won’t affect/effect ratings?

Well Salt Lake City feels its citizens don’t need to watch the Warriors vs Clips game. Just said screw it and went to local news instead…..SIGH

Ya it looks like all Tuesday night NbC games will be at 8pm. It’s ridiculous.

In what country?
Any that understand that the counting of steps doesn't begin until both hands are on the ball (or it's being palmed or the hand is underneath). The steps after the last dribble but before the second hand touches the ball are completely irrelevant.

What irritates me most about the bullshit "travel" calls is that they won't call taking multiple steps like that, but will call a player for traveling when he first starts to attack the basket from 25 feet away. That one gets called all the time and rarely gives the ball handler an advantage.
