I just read this. Got to say this is about as bad as it gets for the Clippers. You don't just "Cut" a guy like Chris Paul like that. Some people might dislike the guy but he is a Future HOF player and a freaking legend for that Franchise. He was the Players Union president for years on top of having a great career. Anyone with the Clippers trying to lay blame on Chris Paul for their troubles this year are being ridiculous. You reduce his minutes and let that guy go out with some grace. They are not going to cut him and replace him with a player that is going to save their season. Just about as Un-Classy a move as I would expect from that franchise.

We obviously don't know the full story. Maybe he was being a pain in the ass in the locker room? Doubtful, but you never know. My guess is that he was trying to hold players accountable and the divas on that team didn't like it.
This came very shortly after he made a post that was just a screenshot of a dictionary definition of "Leeway". This has been interpreted as a criticism of people not being held accountable. Well, I guess he got his wish, but I don't think he can be blamed for the shitshow.

What's the betting Paul shows up on the Lakers? He and James are buddies. However, even if James lobbies for it, I bet they'll be a bit leery of creating an "oldsters vs. youngsters" schism if they do bring him aboard.

I would take Paul over Love any day of the week problem is we already have Jrue but who knows Blazers might reach out to agent to see but i agree he is going to a Top 10 playoff team -- period -- that's if he comes back at all after Clippers treat him like shit.

I think Chris Paul's leadership style often involves him blaming everybody else for pretty much everything while he takes responsibility for pretty much nothing.

Just my impression.

Shit I’d take CP3 on our team this year. He would be cheap and he’s better than any of the scrubs we’re playing at PG currently.
I wonder how that would work with the coaching struggles we seem to be having? Could be entertaining to say the least?

Its possible keeping the Bucks pics is better for us, if Giannis goes to a team he chooses and it screws the Bucks over.

Rather have Ben Simmons

Celtics really bummed with Simmons ...he's averaging 13/2/2 and his defense is horrible. They are playing him off the ball and it's his worst season in a long time. Caleb Love is looking better than Ant..his offensive heaters are coming few and far between in Boston

His per 36's aren't much different than what he normally got. He's shooting better (overall) than he ever has, and his 3 point shooting is better than it has been since 21-22. How is that his "worst season" in a long time? He's playing a different role, and still scoring at, pretty much, the same pace. And he's shooting better than he has in 3+ seasons.

He's just not getting the same amount of minutes.

And I say that as someone who didn't like his sieve defense and thought (some) people (named Danny Marang) massively over stated how good he was.

according to the Celtics article he's shooting hot about 1 game out of 5...streaky deaky...not sure how you are seeing it as a normal season for him...he's been stinking it up in Boston and that's a crowd with little tolerance for stinkin' it up. He's not playing up to his paycheck quite simply..13.6/2.6/2.1 avg according to them his defense won't allow him to stay on the court longer. He's their Caleb Love..Ant isn't passing the sniff test in Boston. His shooting splits I believe they said are as bad as 2020 when he played behind Dame and CJ..at any rate. Thankfully he's not OUR PROBLEM ANYMORE!

He is shooting 45% from the floor, the highest in his career.

He's shooting 40% from 3, which would be tied with JG on the Blazers for the lead (of anyone shooting more than 30 shots from 3).

He's the 64th highest paid player in the league, behind D White (also on the Celtics) who is shooting 38% and 31% from the floor.

Per 36, he's the 2nd leading scorer on the Celtics ffs. And usually you run into random per 36's that blow that out of reality (example: Duop is averaging 16 per 36 but there's no way he'd average that if he played 36 minutes...whereas Simons has a history of showing he'd average 19-22 points per 36). Of the 21 games Simons has played in, 10 of them he's shooting *above* his seasonal average, and 13 of them he's shooting above his career average. 15 of those games he's shooting above 33% from 3, and 9 of them he's either right at or above his career averages from 3.

Making 27 million doesn't mean what you think it means.

Remember when the Bulls were looking like one of the top teams in the East for a few weeks? Wow, they have plummeted since. Will this prompt them to trade for AD?
