He said his source was solid, not jiggly.

The longer it goes, the more I think Embiid is never going to be ready to play top level basketball on a regular basis and will be viewed as an unrealised potential a few years down the line. He is an amazing talent and has actually already shown it at NBA level, he is a superb player with leadership skills but he has only ever played in 30 professional games.

And as for Melo, Houston are basically shooting for the stars with that deal IMO. Their only hope here is that Melo wants to join them, they cannot offer Knicks much value, they cannot work it financially without dumping Anderson's deal or stripping themselves off of bench players who are way too important to just let them leave like that. They offered way too much in return for Paul who could have opted out and came for free, those assets could have well been used in a trade for Melo: Williams and Beverley are definitely two players NYK would fancy while Harrell and Dekker also had some value.

They are looking for a fool to take Anderson and cannot even offer a pick to compensate for that montrosity of a deal.

Does anyone else feel that Clippers will do well next season and might even be better than last season?

I know both Paul and Redick left but who they got back to replace them is absolutely fine. Beverley is a good point guard and he will love his starting role, Teodosic should be a good back up, Lou Williams will largely replace Redick's shooting and Galinari is a HUGE improvement at small forward position. They got some decent bench players from that Paul trade as well, and their draft picks are fairly good talents too.

I see them as 8th seed.

Is he? His career high is 4.2 assists per game. Blake Griffin can create his own shot and doesn't dunk much anymore, but DeAndre Jordan is REALLY going to miss Chris Paul.

They lost 3 of their top 5 scorers. Galinari and Williams will help, but it won't be enough to replace what they lost. They may still make the playoffs, it really depends on the health of Blake Griffin, who has missed 68 games over the last two seasons, but they won't be better than they were last season (4th seed).

Also notable if they don't finish top 5 or 6:
They're old.
They really don't have any young players to rebuild around.
The Griffin contract alone makes their future cap management very difficult.

In short, they could easily get caught in the "velvet rut" being good enough to never get a high draft pick with no real chance of improvement. Of course, they do play in LA...

Don't think the Warriors will be visiting the White House.

I've always thought it was stupid for people to boycott this trip.

I'd go, and tell that fat, orange, hutt exactly what I thought about him and his policies. Right to his fuckin' face.

Why would anyone avoid that amazing opportunity?

I guarantee you he isn't.

He might miss Paul's defense when he gets in foul trouble because Teodosic's man gets by him every time, but Teodosic can toss him lobs just as well as Chris Paul.

Shit, I wouldn't go.

I imagine Trump only cares about football. He'll fume a little but can dismiss basketball as a black man's game. The Patriots still love him (well, the white ones).

I’m sorry, but the Wolves are going to be tough this season!

I think the ads are going to bother me less than the Nike Swoosh. They're certainly less ostentatious.

Also: Wiggins should've gone with a fro. He has a tiny head and a giant neck.

They will be tough, but I don't see them being as good as people think. Outside shooting will be a big problem. Also, I don't think Butler plays well with others. He's great, but he's a pretty selfish player that rubs teammates the wrong way. I could see an internal power struggle there.

So, the guy with zero NBA assists and 1100 assists in Europe is going to get DeAndre Jordan MORE easy looks than the guy with 8200 NBA assists? Right...

With his complete lack of defense, will Teodesic even start? I know he doesn't have much competition for the starting SG spot, but I can't see Doc starting negative defenders Galinari and Teodesic together at the wings. He has shown in the past he's willing to sacrifice scoring at one of the starting wing spots in favor of defense (Mbah a Moute).

I don't believe for one second that Teodesic is a CP3 level creator (there is more to running an NBA offense than an occasional flashy pass) and even on a post CP3 depleted roster, I don't think he will average CP3 minutes.

I think you are the only one fuming.
