Going all in on a championship team is smart. Going all in on a team that can't beat the Warriors is another thing altogether .
True. However, if you give yourself a shot get to the Western Conference Finals, anything can happen. What if KD or Curry have to miss games?

I'm just not that sold on Carmelo being the right guy to make their big 3 work. Maybe he'll prove me wrong, but I wasn't sold on him for the Blazers either.

Their Big 3 is an awful lot like Damon / Sheed / Pippen circa 1999-00. I wouldn't mind seeing the same fate for them, because I hate Russ for no good reason.

Exactly at least OKC isn't wasting Westbrook's prime seasons like NO seems to be doing with Lillard.

You mean..... not again.

I tell you one thing NO (and PA) would not have done and that was to waste both Westbrook and Durant's prime seasons by trading James Harden away after they made the finals the year before. They were set with those 3 plus Ibaka for the next decade.

I'm not so sure--okc would have kept them together if the cap was like it is now. My memory might be wrong but it was much harder paying for a big three in the old cba.

Not sure if was more expensive now or then by going over the cap. But when you have a chance to keep a great young roster in tact, you do it. If they didn't think their small market could afford it, then they shouldn't have moved (stolen) the team from Seattle.

Agreed.

Just the tip.

First preseason game just started. Nuggets at the Warriors.

I can't stand Draymond but it had to be cool for him to receive his Defensive Player of the Year award from his boyhood idol Ben Wallace.

When I first saw the Timberwolves new unis I liked them but seeing them on I'm not so sure now. The horizontal lines on the jerseys don't look right to me. Makes everyone look chunkyor something to me.

Link and context please. Did he follow that up with "but I do"?
Do you think he honestly said that he Ds up? Lol

You could find it as easily as I can. One was on the interview segment with Joe Budden. I think another time was on Twitter.

Just got done watching Minny and the Lakers. Ball wasnt impressive but there other rookie Kuzma can plain shoot the ball. Lakers know just terrible they have know rim protector. It looks like Minny got Dieng backing up Towns. What could hurt Minny there backup back court is not very good.

Do you think he said he didn't? Dame has never made excuses.

5 pts, 7 rebs, 8 dimes and 2 steals....... I'd take that from my starting PG each night. He struggled shooting, but I'm sure that will happen a bunch this year. Kuzma will guard the Gatorade all year FAMS.

They are so young, there is no reason not to play Kuzma. He will see time. I like that kid. Wish he was a Blazer.

Very active for sure. Looked good in summer league. They just have Randle, Ingram, Deng, Nance and Brewer ahead of him.

True. Kuzma looked really good in summer league and continued it tonight. If I was the coach, I would glue Brewer and Deng to the bench and let the youngins get some burn. Those vets aren't going to suddenly get better and they aren't going to help them get into the playoffs. Kuzma is a legit shooter.
