I don't think there's that many good 1st round series.

In the east Raptors and Bucks sweep. Heat and Celtics win easily. Bucks possibly sweep round 2 as well.. Celtics and Raptors could be more competitive I would pick Toronto though.

The west isn't as tough as some think. Utah is going to greatly miss Conley and Bogdonavich, scoing is always though for them. Denver is deep enough to better withstand injuries and will win this series easily.
Clippers will easily beat Dallas; Dallas is too young and the Clippers are likely the best team in the league. Even without one of PG3/Kawhi I would probably pick LAC, with both this series is over quick. Clippers will easily win the next round as well to get to the WCF.

The only first round series that has two evenly matched teams is OKC and Rockets. I think I may pick OKC as CP3 knows how to guard the Rockets, the Rockets aren't a high % 3pt team, Harden just gets exposed in the playoffs when teams can plan for his gimmicks. OKC won't be penalized for playing a 3 PG lineup as other opponents could do. I wouldn't be surprised with either team winning this series though.

I hope the Blazers can make their series competitive but on paper the Lakers are massive favorites and it should not be a competitive series.
I disagree. The 4-5 and 3-6 matches are all very competitive in both conferences as you would imagine in most season and then you have our series against the Lakers which is different because our roster right now had played together all season we would have been a 3, 4 or 5 seed. So I think it's quite an interesting first round, look at the game currently being played.

If I am not mistaken, in a normal year at least, you play the teams in your division more than any other teams.
You def play 4 games against teams in your division but you do that for most of the other teams in your conference too. Back in the early 90s when there were less teams, you played the teams in your division 5 times. That was awesome imo.

I disagree with almost all of this. Without HCA, many of the top seeds will be challenged more than you think. I expect at least one big upset. And I don’t consider the Blazers beating the Lakers to be a major upset. If we had Nurk and Collins all year, we’d be a 3 seed. My opinion.

We took Zach Collins and his rock hands ahead of Mitchell.

Mitchell wide open at half court. Why he no shoot?

Murray looks like CJ out there. Jazz wasted Mitchell’s 54 points.

The jazz depth is terrible. They have two guys who can get their own shot and one of them is Jordan Clarkson lol

I didn't want any rookie that night. I wanted to trade all the picks. I think Neil was trying to trade them for Paul George, but KP told him to eff off.
Yep. Neil offered all 3 picks and any non Dame/CJ/Nurk player for PG.

Clippers will easily beat Dallas
I disagree with this. Carlisle is very good and he has both Luka and Porzingis not to mention Curry, Kleber, Hardaway. That team can play with any team in the league.
I just am not willing to doubt Luka at this point. He can beat you on any given night.

Mavs could play with any of the 4th-8th best teams in the League, just not the top couple teams. Clippers are really a terrible match-up for them, if they played Denver or Houston they would have a chance of winning the series.

We will see what happens. I think the Mavs are a couple years away from contending. Luka is not at Kawhi+PG level in the playoffs when we see those guys go 100%. Clippers coasted all regular season, while Luka played 100%, and Mavs still were a much lower seed.

Luka is better than PG. Paul George is one of the most overrated player in the NBA. Not a Top 20 player.

This from Hollinger’s piece in The Athletic:

The Blazers have played significantly better at both ends with Trent on the court in the bubble. These are small samples, yes, but the results are so extreme it’s staggering. Portland outscores teams by 10.1 points per 100 possessions when Trent plays, but is a staggering -14.8 when he sits.

Also- apparently the Blazers have switched hotels and are at the Grand Floridian now.

CJ said the move is happening on WED morning. Was on Zach Lowe's pod that dropped a few hours ago.
