One thing I've noticed with all these good defensive teams versus the Blazers:

The Blazers reach more in one quarter than these teams do in an entire game.

Are our defensive players just THAT bad? Or are our coaches just that terrible and teaching defensive fundamentals?
I think we all know the answer to those questions....

Boston might be up now, but Miami is controlling this game. Been saying this fore a while now, but they play with great discipline and always own the pace.

Young guys especially. Zach is infuriating to watch. He forgot everything he learned in college.

But it's not just him:

Dame, CJ, Melo, Rodney (when he played), Wenyen, Ant, Mario, Hassan and even Nurk at times all do it.

Dame and CJ may be the worst offenders, which is damning when they're some of the oldest of the bunch.

Dame got a vote for All-Defensive Teams.

I'll take Door Number 2.

I do think either Boston or Miami would have swept Portland. Style of play is so different and effective that it would take super human games by Dame just to keep it close.

I have a hard time seeing the path forward for this team in it's current guise.

think they teach that slap down andre iguodala move. Aldridge used to do it a lot too

I've probably said it before, but I love how Miami plays. Every guy on the team can shoot, pass and move well without the ball. They try to fastbreak whenever they can and if that down't work make a couple quick passes to get someone open before the other team is fully set. They obviously pass a lot in practice.

Miami woulda destroyed us. But Boston, meh.

Seriously hope Miami wins the title this year. Prove that a TEAM of good players can win the championship.

The Heat are running a zone against the Celtics with 4 shooters on the floor and having good success. When we try to run zone teams literally shoot wide open 3s with no one within 10 feet of the shooter.

Flopping like that is lazy, uninspired, and tasteless and whoever has to resort to that is weak. Its a disgrace to basketball

Refs calling some weak ass shit

Herro is going to be the next American born white star in the NBA.

Here comes the refs again. Walker literally shoves Jones into Smart. Miami foul.

And of course ESPN only shows the Walker shove replay once. It's like they realized "oh shit, bad call", and decided not to show it again.
