I think coming back the way they did, they are used to winning those games in which they come back. They're also playing against the Lakers and the Lakers are far and away the best team in the league. Denver is toast, do you think they'll get another game against the Lakers where they get 14 more free throws? It's not happening. This was their best chance to win and they couldn't get it done. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a sweep but I know that Denver is tough so maybe they'll win one game like we did and like the Rockets but both us and the Rockets got that first game when LA wasn't really locked in. Denver has the Lakers attention, so things are not going to get any easier for them.
I disagree that the Lakers are far and away the best team in the league. The Bucks and Raptors exceeded them in the regular season and the Miami Heat have shown to be at the Lakers' level in the playoffs. The Nuggets aren't afraid of the Lakers. This isn't David & Goliath (it wasn't in the Clippers series either). The Nuggets are a great team. They showed tonight that they can beat the Lakers. Now they just have to do it. Playoffs are all about improving and getting better as the series goes on. Nuggets are trending in the right direction. It wouldn't surprise me if the Nuggets won in 6. Honestly. Similar to what the Raptors did to the Bucks in 2019 playoffs (lose first two, get better, win 4 straight). This Nuggets team has been through four seven game series together over the last two seasons. These Lakers haven't done anything yet. This is their first playoffs together. Can't wait for Game 3. I'm sure the Nuggets can't either.

What's the deal with the bolding???

so saying go home is offensive or something? What did Dame do on his game winner?

Dame's "wave" after his game-winner was the end of the series. Dwight's comments come after two wins, which is basically telling the Nuggets not to even bother showing up to finish the series. That's an entirely different level of asshole-ry.

POST REPORTED. You are better than this.

I note that THE HCP did not risk using a contraction here. Intimidated by the DOG.

are you sure it isn't asshole-ish? wait that's an adjective....assholeishness?

lol Jesus Christ, talk about sensitive times

1. HE hit the shot - what did Dwight do? Watch it?
2. Russ had been talking smack all series. And before. Unless the Noogies are secret smack-talkers, this seems like punching down.
you don’t think the nuggets are trash talking? You don’t remember them bullying Seth curry last year?

I put the Lakers over/under on total losses for the rest of the playoffs at 2. Also what the playoffs have shown us is that the East was nowhere close to the West this season and that's why the Raptors and Bucks feasted and got to those regular season records. I guess we'll just have to sit back and see what happens going forward. Oh and for the record if I'm erring one direction or the other it's overestimating the Lakers not underestimating the other teams... I just think the LeBron/AD duo surrounded by the role players they have is a great team and they just didn't turn it on until the playoffs started.

They aren’t “far and away” better than Miami.
How exactly do you measure "betterness"? Far and Away, barely or noticeably.....I don't care HOW you measure it, they are better.

Hah! Hardly. I've just always thought Dwight was a bit of a douche nozzle.
He is, but Murray talks as much smack during the games as anybody in the league. Dwight shouldn't be doing that though since HE wasn't the one that won it!

“Far and away” better, which is what blazerkor said, would imply no team is even close to as good as the Lakers. I find that to be False. Miami has played just as well as the Lakers. And the Nuggets aren’t far behind.

Until you figure out a way to measure all those factors, I'll just stick with they are better.
