Herro may be the best player out of this draft if Zion doesn't get his health in order.

Butler just airballed a wide open 12 footer. Never seen that before.

Tyler Herro is what we all envision Anfernee Simons for the Blazers
I'm still not giving up on Ant yet. He definitely has all the physical skills to succeed. We saw what he was able to do early in the season. I think he just lost all confidence during the season.

He is still very young. Only 1 year older than Herro.

Miami will win the series and now maybe Bam is hurt. Lakers so lucky to win it all.

Gotta trust my gut on players more.

Would be lying if I thought he'd be this good this early though.

Great player + a great fit

Miami sure can come at you from a lot of directions. Butler, Dragic, Adebayo, Herro, Robinson. And they have Crowder and Iggy as 'savvy' vets. For the modern NBA it's a very well balanced roster offensively that plays good defense, and the coaching is excellent. I'm pretty impressed

Herro or CJ?

Too early to know right now. Herro just had an incredible game and he is averaging 21 points in the conference finals as a 20 year old. But he also could be just incredibly hot and will cool down soon.

But the Blazers would probably be better off with Herro at 4M/year than CJ at 31M/year

Remember Phoenix just went undefeated in the bubble but didn't make the playoffs.
The west is a very tough conference. But i would say OKC went down. Houston is struggling. The Clippers don't seem to be as good as advertised. Sac ain't getting much better. The Twolves are always supposed to be better but they never seem to do it. I just don't see the Jazz as all that great. When do we see a real drop off in Lebron? Will the Lakers even make it past the Nuggets? We all know GS is coming back but exactly how good will they be?
Bottom Line is if the Blazers can get and stay healthy they will be a strong team. They needs a few adjustments which they can do. Add a solid wing player and a good back up PG and they will be in the mix.
Solid post.

Just stop. You were using the term "OLD" in a negative light as if he is no longer affective.
How do you type this stuff and go about your day?
Dude he is old. He puts up numbers but he’s not as good as he was 8 years ago. Surely you see that! This is not prime LeBron.

I actually don't think that his productivity has fallen off. He is still one of the most explosive players in the game but he has adjusted his game to preserve some of his energy but it hasn't made him less valuable or effective. His numbers and the eye test just don't agree with you. He plays different than he did when he was 18, 23, 28 or 33 because he has always evolved but he's not worse on either end. He uses angles different on defense now, he is still very disruptive, a great on ball defender and help defender. This last game he was cheating off of Grant too much to help defend with Jokic, he won't do that the same way again and Grant won't have another game like that. I don't think you should allow one game (the most recent game) to color your opinion so much.

Do you think he is less than dominant offensively? As far as his defense goes LeBron has pretty much always chosen when to exert his maximum energy on that end but if I had to pick one guy in the league to lock down a player and it could be any other player in the league, I would still choose LeBron. He's still the only guy who can limit the most elite offensive players in the league 1-5... still no one else has his combination of skill, strength, speed and size on defense, not even Giannis. The question to ask yourself is would I rather have Giannis on an elite 1 or LeBron on an elite 5? LeBron is obviously the superior defender of the quickest smallest perimeter players but the gap between LeBron and Giannis on the biggest strongest post players is smaller. Giannis and a lot of other guys put more energy in and focus more on defense than LeBron does play in and play out but when he's needed LeBron is a beast on defense and lets never forget that he accounts for so many points being the league leader in assists while scoring over 25 points per game. At first I was OK with Giannis getting the MVP until I thought about it more and more. LeBron was still the best player in the league this season and he is currently the best player in the playoffs.

Herro’s awesome but then there’s Ja.

Herro has been more impressive to me just watching them. Ja may be a better lead ball handler, but Herro’s skill set fits on more teams and wings are more valuable than point guards. Nothing against Ja, but point guard that can’t shoot have no blueprint for being successful playoff players.

That's either a lack of confidence/disappointment from a past McDonalds All-American or false humility. Richard Jefferson was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He could score, which kept him on the floor, he was a decent defender, which kept him on the floor, he rebounded and passed sufficiently for his position which I'm sure kept him on the floor. Obviously the guy was a role player who was mostly a scorer when he was at his best but as far as staying on the floor... injuries limited that for him but when he was healthy he played and played a lot. Career average 29 minutes per game... not bad for a role player.

It's widely known as a sense of humor.

I WANT TO BELIEVE! I wish I thought the Blazers had him working out right now with a team of assistant coaches (and some players so he can run sets and practice defense), but that's probably not allowed either by the NBA or his local health authority...

Thing about Anfernee is that his play seems to get better the more minutes he has under his belt IN A GAME. So his first few minutes in any game are trash. Trouble is, the Blazers can't afford that. So he needs to go somewhere like, ooh, Detroit. Or the Knicks, maybe. Except I can't see Thibs giving him minutes either...

If the Heat make the Finals Andre Iguodala will be in six straight NBA Finals.

His wingspan is a shocking 6'3"... isn't that crazy?

it might be more crazy how many people overrate the value of wingspan. It's a factor to be sure, but it's not nearly as significant as many believe, and is offset by several other factors, IMO. Standing reach is overrated too

Nothing against Ja, but point guard that can’t shoot have no blueprint for being successful playoff players.

Rondo?
