thats a poor example of the 'unwritten rule' being enforced. The Thunder were up by 5, and while nearly impossible, the Lakers still had a shot. So while yes, the guy should've just kept the ball after he stole it, it's not like they were up by 30 and kept scoring.

Maybe he'll "rock the baby" in the next game, and sooth his fragile ego.
Agree on this one….I’d say that bro code rule isn’t really enforceable until it’s a double digit game.

What about Dame and Harden? Too early to judge?

You're confusing things here. Saying "so and so is who they are" is basically saying "their track record speaks for themselves".

Dame (and I guess Harden? Is he having a bad start?) has a track record of *not* being a ball hogging team destroying selfish whackadoodle.

Nice job. That one wasn't sarcasm and your response was spot on.

As a Michigan native, I REALLY hope Cade Cunningham doesn't end up being bleh. Somebody who really rates him talk him up for me.

Melo is just old!

.
Give what up? But what does this mean. If a team is expecting 15 minutes and 8-10 points a game, you don’t think he can do that? That’s about what the Lakers are wanting out of him. Get to the line, be an option off the bench.

He already pretty much won them a game.

Melo can't defend a chair. Sure he might get 8-10 points, but he gives up 12-15+. It's not as though he's an efficient focal point offensive player either, he bricks a ton of shots. At least Kanter had amazing efficiency, screens, and gave the Blazers an elite offense.

Melo is so bad defensively an OKC team filled top to bottom of total scrubs erased a 26 point lead as never done in the Lakers last 230 games.

When we had the disaster of Tolliver starting games it was fun getting a few months of Melo. But the guy is not a useful rotational player in 2021. The Blazers are much better without him; and the Lakers are worse with him.

Fools just want to hate, to hate. Nobody is expecting night in and night out for Melo or Avery Bradley or Rondo or Dwight to be consistent and they shouldn’t. These guys were brought in to help every other night, now and then and help out when AD goes down, LeBron needs help or Russ blows a gasket. Thats why I think they will be just fine and have a good season. Next man up mentality.

Then you should just be ecstatic. Let’s talk after 30 games son. Or when they finish the season ahead of us in the standings.

Didn't paul George, while a teammate of Westbrook 's do this to us in a playoff blowout? What a loser. It's OK if me and my friends do it when we're beating you, but not if you're beating us. Then there's an unwritten rule.

You're not keeping up. Most of us expected Russ and Melo to fail... and so far, they are.
Most of us did not predict Dame to fail, or Harden. So, those cases don't really apply to what I was saying.

Caveat: if Harden doesn't lose weight.....

Yes I am happy with the Lakers predictable struggles.

Do you think the Lakers are better this season than last year?

Yes they won the title two years ago, but they finished behind us in the standings last year, a huge step back. Now their roster took another step back, but people think they will dominate the west?

I believe many analysts and fans see these big names from 2010 and project their career performance, instead of what they are in 2022.

I only watched him play once and was underwhelmed. It was blamed on lack of teammate support making him easy to key on, but I expected a tall, athletic, skilled ball handler to be able to overcome that better. Granted, expecting that out of a frosh may be unfair.

Evan Mobley, on the other hand, looked like an easy #1 pick in any year not featuring a Shaq/LeBron type surefire selection.

Josh Giddey (18 pts @ 53.8%, 10 ast) became the third youngest player to record 10 assists in an NBA game, bettered only by LeBron James, twice.
