With Kawhi probably out for the regular season and maybe the whole year, why is it a stretch to see the Blazers finishing above the Clips?
We will just have to agree to disagree with the amount of talent on our current Trail Blazers roster. We battle for the 8th spot with 41 wins is how I see it.

I thought we were talking about whether the Blazers will finish ahead of the Clippers. What part of this lineup, other than Paul George, do you find intimidating?

Nobody is saying that it isn’t. That 18-19 season, they weren’t even on track to make the playoffs right. Worth a bunch of those young’s kids on the roster. He wasn’t about to be out there battening for nothing.
Just cracks me up when people don’t acknowledge Bron’s greatness. Of course he will slow down eventually, but he is a beast.

What does his greatness have to do with anything I said?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Clippers even fall out of the playin.

Sacramento, Minnesota, and Memphis have similar talent. New Orleans has a much better second best player with Zion and Ingram. San Antonio has less talent but with Pop maybe could be a surprise to play good defense, play hard, share the ball unselfishly, and sneak into the play in.

I would pick the Clippers above all those teams, but without Kawhi all season they are closer to that group of lower teams than contending in the west. Yes I know they won against the Jazz. But getting hot for a couple playoff games against one opponent is very different than being good over 82 games.

You're bringing up Father Time in the same sentence with LeBron. I was just pointing out the fact that he's still a top 5 player in the league regardless of age. Thats what should be looked at when predicting their season.

There's no team I'd rather see fall out of contention than the geriatric purple and piss this season...it's like they mined the 3 ball league to fill a roster! Lebron is starting to show the cracks in his armor...we're going to sweep those bozos this season dude!

Well then, there are 3 or 4 wins for us. Outstanding.

He’s not a top 5 player when he goes down again with an over use injury.

Good point, can you now post OUR roster and ask the same.

Sure:

So, let’s say Dame and George offset each other (that’s doing Dame a disservice). Nurk, CJ, and RoCo would be my next picks for my team before I took anyone off the Clippers’ roster.

This team would've been great in 2011. Grant Hill was still playing back then.

Yes the Grant Hill that played against Jordan and Drexler.

There is a reason we have never seen a title team with the bulk of their rotation in the 33-38 year range.

True, but in this case will you really be surprised if Ariza is still capable of being a productive reserve? Melo, OTOH........

Depends on what you're expecting out of him. If you need 15 minutes of defense and 1 3 a game. He'll be perfect.
