They'll end up paying nearly as much money to someone else, so it's not really saving money unless they can quickly improve on what was already a pretty good team.

wasn't going to compete in the east. they moved Joe Johnson's contract which many people thought was impossible. I thought they got Devin Harris for a pretty low price. Tons of cap space to chase CP3 and Dwight now. If it didn't work, they blew it up anyways and starting over pretty quickly.

Looks like Eric Gordon will be getting a max contract (offer) from the Suns.

Le sigh.

PHX hasn't agreed to it yet. I assume they will ponder it and Gordon will continue to go to teams until one offers him a max.

Unless someone hijacked @DeronWilliams account, he just tweeted that he's staying in Brooklyn...

Gordon agrees to offer from Suns, I'd imagine NO would match though since Gordon is like their only player. But it looks like we can probably cross him off the list.

Thank God

so where does Dragic end up? does PHX have enuf cash for Dragic AND Gordon? Looks like nash possibly to TOR, Kings seem awfully quiet and need a PG, perhaps Dragic there? New Orleans? other ideas?

Interesting, just checked, PHX has enuf capspace for Gordon and a large offer for Dragic...Hmmmmm

Dragic will be in Houston

Dragic will be in Houston

didn't they just make an offer for Lin? Or planning on it. Sounds like Dragic and Houston aren't close.
Funny if toronto viewed this offseason as landing Nash, and then, with deron staying, nash goes to dallas, dragic to phx, lin to houston, and....felton to toronto.

Everyone down here is convinced he will be in Houston

As @ESPNSteinLine reporting, source says deal is done: Rockets trade Kyle Lowry to Raptors for protected first-round draft pick

Great move for Toronto, well depending on the protection of that pick. Lowry and Jonas are probably their two best players now so thats a big improvement this offseason.

I'm not sure what to think about Houston, I bet Knicks match any Lin offer now that Nash is elsewhere. I'd possibly be interested in Kevin Martin if Houston wants to tank.

Shit, is that all he cost? Why the hell didn't we get him? He was the Rockets' best player for the first third of the season - when they were playing well.

We need our cap space available so Indy can match Hibbert

bayless, felton, brooks, sessions, lin all still available for rockets.

I like Augustin as a backup, spark off the bench.

He'd be solid, but it sounds like, and hopefully it will be true, that Portland wants to play Lillard as much as possible, so another PG would come in here playing maybe 20 minutes a night. Would Augustin do that?

I think brooks heads back to houston of lin gets matched. Id like to see bayless in houston. If he got free roam he would be a fantasy bball stud and put up ridiculous numbers for them

I'm told New Orleans Hornets will acquire Ryan Anderson via sign-and-trade deal with Orlando. Deal is on verge of completion today

League source says #Hornets acquiring SF Ryan Anderson from #Magic in sign and trade for Gustavo Ayon.

Unless they play Davis at SF, which they wont, I think they'll play Anderson at the center spot. A stretch-center?

If NO retains Gordon, and we retain Batum, but lose out on Hibbert, are they better than us?

Nets "making progress" on finding a third team to take Kris Humphries in a scenario that would send Dwight Howard to Brooklyn, source says.>>>>>

Rep points for Tommy Dee.

The "third team" to be taking on Humphries is believed to be Cleveland.
