A source close to Dwight Howard tells me that Dwight is fully prepared to sit out the entire 2012-13 season in Orlando.>>>>>>>>>>

Dwight needs to grow the hell up and start acting like a professional.

These NBA egomaniacs are the biggest babies in pro-sports.

The NBA needs to eliminate guaranteed contracts and change their entire marketing strategy. They created this world that they operate in by marketing players instead of teams, and now the players are out of control.

I hope the team and league fine the shit out of him. Then I hope the league can somehow blacklist this piece of shit

If it was an unguaranteed contract then what? They cut him and he gets to go where he wants? That doesn't help anything. Better to call his bluff. Go ahead and sit out the year. You won't get paid, but sure, put your money where your mouth is.

So, let's sum up:

Phoenix: loses Nash, gets Dragic (back)
Houston: loses Dragic AND Lowry, gets Lin (back)
NY: loses Lin, gets Kidd and Felton (back)
Dallas: loses Kidd, gets Collison
Indiana: loses Collison, gets Augustin
Raptors: get Lowry, probably lose Calderon
Blazers: "lose" Felton, gain self-respect

Has there ever been such PG turnover?

Well, the non-guaranteed contracts was really just an overall comment... wouldn't help much with the DH situation, but I suspect it would knock the players down a peg. They could lose their huge contracts at any time.

And yet still some stars of the NFL still act entitled and like divas and hold out to get bigger longer deals. I don't see how it'd knock guys down a peg. Especially the stars, who would easily sign elsewhere for their money.

I can hope can't I?

He was on their roster for about 2 weeks before the start of last season.

At which point they could have signed him for peanuts - and now they'll pay him $25 million instead. Well done!

Did anyone else watch the 'friendly' between France and Spain?

Gasol got his points but he has lost ALL his lift.

Batum handled the ball a bit and played well in that role.

Well with all of the money he's about to make, he's got every excuse to start handling the ball in the NBA.

In hindsight, who got the better deal in the Kwahi Leonard/George Hill trade?

Spurs got the cheaper, and younger end of that deal, thats for sure.

Every fanbase have their trolls. This is fucking embarrassing:

Look on the bright side folks. Nic might be slightly overpaid, but he's still not making more than Javale McGee

David Aldridge @daldridgetnt

Source confirms 4/$44M report from @SpearsNBAYahoo for JaVale McGee. Full guarantee, per source.

Can you imagine what those fans would say if Lin said "It's my dream to play in Minnesota. I was stuck in a corner by the Knicks. My friends are on Minnesota and I like their coach." and was then re-signed by the Knicks? Ouch. I think Batum is lucky Portland fans are more forgiving.

So true

I wonder if the Knicks fans realize it was their own team that didn't match

HAHAHA... Knicks fans thinking... Ooohhohohoho. Maybe KingSpeed can give us some more insight into their culture.

And people bashed Blazer fans because of ONE guy on twitter. Amazing.
