Don't worry, before long those Knick fans will be coming up with some Kurt Thomas, Chris Copeland, and James White for Jeremy Lin trade ideas.....

LeBron's email hacked:

That other tabs were my favorite part. "How do you spell sheshefski?" and "do hair plugs really work?"

 I hadn't caught that until I read your post. I also like how Lin is unavailable because he is "taking a Dolan" and how Dwight Howard wants Lebron to tell him where to play. Pretty funny all around.

The little targeted google ad at the top is a nice touch. Oh, and Stern's e-mail address (in the chat window title bar).

Andray Blatche amnestied.

Washington Post: Remembering Andray Blatche

Andray Blatche means well, or at least, he seems to mean well. I’m not sure you could find many people to argue with that.

But somehow, he just kept finding his way into ridiculous stories during his seven years in Washington, which ended Tuesday afternoon with the news that the Wizards would amnesty him.

This is by no means a comprehensive list, but here are 12 Blatche stories I’ll likely never forget. They provide a window into how a nice enough young kid became one of D.C.’s most booed athletes of the past decade.

Meanwhile, Dwight Howard looks like Exhibit A in the "those who hesitate are lost" proverb. He dilly-dallied Nets and Lakers and now is saying he'll stay with Orlando (last I heard, guy changes his positions more frequently than Romney).

Carl Landry surprisingly still available but several teams reportedly looking at him.

I'm pretty sure Dwight still wants out. Orlando just doesn't mind waiting for the "right deal".

Dwight Howard isn't worth all this fuss. You'd think the guy was Shaq and Hakeem all rolled into one.

Dwight literally makes me want to shoot myself. I'm so tired of this trade me bullshit. I'd be perfectly okay with not hearing another word on this topic, unless it is "Dwight traded to X; Dwight will not be traded - will become FA"

But man, I'd love for him to be here in 2013.

Lillard, Wes, Batum, Aldridge, Dwight...

As just a one year rental? Nah, fuck that.

More hated: Dwight or LeBron?

For me? Dwight. Shit or get off the pot already!

Lebron is a total tone-deaf jackass, but at least he had the balls to ditch a sad-sack organization like the Cavaliers and do it with some finality ... and I'd say that ring he's sporting sort of validated his decision.

No, as signing him as a FA. It'd never happen, but playing with Aldridge -should- be more appealing than playing with an overrated, old Dirk.

I don't think that shit matters to him. He seems pretty dead set on locale over situation.

Dwight - don't even think it should be close. The only people who -could- hate LeBron should be Cleveland fans. Literally, Lebron's situation affected no one outside of that fan base negatively.

The Decision was poor in taste, but he did make 2 million to donate to charity. LeBron also didn't have coaches fired, request trades, then say nevermind, then request a trade again.

This whole Dwightmare thing is pathetic. Honestly, he should have just keep his mouth shut and signed elsewhere after his contract was finished. This whole trade me, don't trade me, fire the management and ill stay, oh just kidding, trade me for real this tiime... is agitating and annoying.

Honestly, I have no clue what he is looking for. Originally I thought he just wanted out of Orlando because they couldn't get over the hump and he hated SVG and said he'd be willing to stay to pursue a championship and maybe more, then said he wants to only go to the Nets (Deron Williams - contender) Then said he wants to go to LA (Kobe, Gasol, and now nAsh - contender) and then he apparently wants to go to Dallas, but not Houston....

Dwight wanted Brooklyn. Hennigan had no intention of sending him there but still played with the idea. The Nets realized he was dicking around and chose to extend Brook Lopez thus ending a possible deal. From there, Hennigan began dicking around with the Lakers because he knew that Dwight didn't want to be dealt there. However, Dwight changed his mind understanding it's either the Lakers or Magic. With Dwight giving the "ok" on LA, Hennigan switched gears again by claiming that the Magic will wait to deal Dwight.

Just recently Hennigan met with Dwight in an attempt to convince him stay and sign an extension. Dwight has refused.

To sum it all up, Hennigan and the Orlando organization have been dicking around with Brooklyn, LA, and Dwight. They don't want to trade Dwight and are willing to make it hell for him.

To be continued...

I was thinking about that yesterday. If I am Orlando I ask Portland for our 5 rookies and don't think twice. That would be a good deal for them and would set them up nicely with Cap space.

But of course Dwight would not sign an extension with us. Too bad because we would be one PG away from being contenders. Hell even with Nolan Smith as our starting PG, we would be tough: LA, DH, Nic, Wes, and Nolan. (Bench of Ewill, Babbitt, Hickson, Price , Jeffries and Pavlo's dog)

With a starting 4 like that we could attract a good Vet PG next year. But alas it is just a pipe dream.

Jeff Green getting 4 years/36 million from Celtics.

Jeff Green has agreed to the framework of a four-year, $36 million deal with the Celtics.

"I expect it will be done imminently," Green's agent David Falk said. "Just some collective bargaining issues that changed. Just some details stuff, nothing serious."

Green missed all of last season after undergoing surgery to repair a heart abnormality.

You didn't know Blatche was a headcase? Wow! Not criticizing, but I thought this was common knowledge.

Well I kinda meant to that extent. Plus I guess I sort of ignore the irrelevant teams in the east.

Assuming for a second that Dwight would even be attainable: Without a capable ball-handler/shot-creator in the back-court you can't contend for shit. Dwight was paired up with a very efficient power forward in Ryan Anderson with a miserable point guard situation and they couldn't do a damned thing. That same dynamic would be likely to repeat here in Portland and just adding a "vet" point doesn't necessarily change that.

Dwight is an insanely talented center, but with the way the league is moving toward more mobile, versatile perimeter oriented play (and rules) I actually believe he'll never win a title until/unless he's paired with an elite back-court player, not just serviceable -- which is what he's had in Orlando.

I agree that is why I said we would be "a PG guard away from being a contender". But I think whenever you are a player away......some how a Vet is willing to take a chance on being the final piece. Like Barkley when he almost begged to be traded to Portland in the early 90's. I think a starting line up of Howard, LMA, Batum and Matthews would quickly attract that capable ball handler. Dwight made it to the finals with a similar cast of talent.
