If Thomas goes after Artest we can definitely give up any great player. Artest is such a risk and can get into so much more trouble in NYC. Artest will be very beneficial to us but, not at the expense of our great players because who knows? He might pull off something like this again and we can ill afford that. I'd trade TT for him to make you guys happy :mrgreen:

The Knicks don't really have a lot of players that the Pacers would want. To say the truth, I'd say that I'm tired of the rumors involving the Knicks; they never seem to happen. Probably because it's located in a huge city, lots of rumors come out; ones that never actually happen. Therefore, I don't think the Knicks would get Artest, unless they give up Marbury.
 
Never trust any rumors that come out of NYC.If I remember right the trade that sent Marbury to New York wasn't rumored at all so Isiah makes only those trades that aren't rumored for a big named player.If it is a rumor like a scrub for a scrub it will happen but NY isn't getting Artest.
 
Yeah, the media can make a lot of rumors about the Knicks but, that's what happens when you play in the greatest city, and the greatest arena, and have the greatest fans!
 
I'm sick of how the New York media blows everything up. G-d almisghty, its enought o get all Knicks fans a headache.
 
I don't really think that Artest will be going anywhere, until the offseason, or next year. For the most part, I think the Pacers will be trying to sneak their way into the playoffs. 25 Games without your best player usually hurts your record, and badly. The Knicks won't be getting Artest anytime soon, I don't think anyone wants to see him in the paper anymore, for good or bad.


Obviously, this has almost a 0% chance of actually happening, the New York media truely comes up with the craziest ideas. Actually, it makes me mad sometimes. I never know what to take seriously.
 
if they said hes out for the season does that mean he can play i nthe playoffs?

The his punishment was 73 games, that extends only till the end of the season after that the suspension should be over
 
I think that he is gone for the playoffs too. Wouldn't that kill the entire point of suspending him for the entire season? It would means no basketball all season, playoffs included, don't you think?

If he can play in the playoffs, then maybe a trade to New York for Artest could be good for him, even though we already know it won't happen. Artest making his come-back playing in the Mecca of basketball could really help him. Getting the New York fans on your side would definitely boost your confidence, and image around the leauge, I'd say.

Though I am not 100% sure, I would think that his suspension runs through the playoffs, if the Pacers, or whatever team he is playing for when his suspension if lifted make it.

Choking someone, and jumping into the stands and assaulting fans are completely different things. I would give Spreewell a second chance before Artest for sure. Although, I must say that I have seen weirder incidents, and Artest in NYK may not be completely out of the question.

What Artest did took it to another level. Sprewell never did anything like Artest did. I don't remember why Sprewell choked his coach. I heard it was over the coach talking about his mother. That's a low blow. You never talk about someone's mother...

I saw it somewhere in the News No he is not permitted to play in the playoffs
 
I was recently listening to the television, and a reporter was talking about how screwed the Pacers are for the next 25 games. During the report, this reporter mentioned that if the Pacers make the playoffs, Ron Artest would be eligible to play. That clears up that matter.

Well I guess I was wrong. I was almost 100% sure that he was barred from all on-court activities except for practice.
