<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Isiah Thomas knows Artest as well as anyone, having coached him in Indiana. He'll surely have plenty of time over the next few months to figure out if Artest's is a career worth salvaging. He can't go on in Indiana, which he just sabotaged as badly as a team can be sabotaged. And no other team can offer Artest what the Knicks can: a chance to re-invent himself at home, in front of his neighbors, in front of his home city.
"I know they'll never allow me to perform at anything less than my best, mostly because they know I'm one of them," Stephon Marbury said of New York basketball fans on the day he became a Knick last season. "They expect more from me."
Maybe that kind of motivation could put Artest onto a path toward ultimate redemption. Because if it doesn't happen here for Artest, it may never be anywhere. And he'll only have himself to blame. </div>
If Thomas goes after Artest we can definitely give up any great player. Artest is such a risk and can get into so much more trouble in NYC. Artest will be very beneficial to us but, not at the expense of our great players because who knows? He might pull off something like this again and we can ill afford that. I'd trade TT for him to make you guys happy
