Speaking of chemistry and unselfish basketball, please remove CJ from the trade conjecture above and replace with Mo "Freaking" Williams (aka MoChuck). I've seen all of that guy I care to.

Mo+Freeland+Claver for Asik+scrub of your choice. That's the best you're going to get Morey, and more than you deserve. We ain't no OKC.

Yeah. Don't mess with team chemistry at all. It's our star power that's keeping us together right.

I guess this is sarcasm?

Trades and roster moves are a part of life in the NBA. Every player in the league understands that and while chemistry is a delicate thing, if this roster is so fragile that it can't bear even a little adjustment or tinkering then it's basically a house of cards and not a real contender anyway.

Mo is one of the guys that I see as movable and replaceable. Hopefully CJ comes off of his injury and plays so well that it makes him expendable.

Let's make the playoffs first. Then we can talk about the '77 Blazers.

Leonard, Claver, Crabbe for Hawes works. I know Hawes is a FA after this year so he may walk. Philly is also desperately trying to tank. Is this a fair package?

Possibly... but why do people think that the frontcourt is the weakness right now?

I don't think so, in seeing many trade threads at another site Leonard has VERY little trade value around the league, "maybe" a Leonard and Trob combo could get it done, though IMO they'd likely ask for CJ

I think if we're going to make a move, we need to target the tanking teams. Go after guys they know they aren't going to be able to bring back and offer up Leonard and change to see if they bite.

front court scoring off the bench is a big weakness IMO

I don't agree. I thought Robinson did well for us last night. He was tied for our leading scorer off the bench with 6 points and 3 boards in 10 minutes.

I don't expect our bigs to score a ton. We need a consistent perimeter threat, and right now we don't have that.

did U read my comment about Leonard's value? he has little to none

supposedly Wright and MO are the outside threats - not so threatening so far, while Robinson can get a bucket here or there as can Freeland they certainly are not "threats" that can be counted on for offense and/or to open things up for other guys

So do you think the problem with the bench is that our offense is built around the pick and roll, but neither Robinson or Freeland are really capable of fulfilling the Aldridge role in that system? Hawes would be much more capable of doing that.

I think Hawes can, does and will score, Trob is simply still very raw and Freeland is what he is - a "decent" journeyman. You will not "contend" IMO or go far in the playoffs with these guys as your main backup bigs

If we can move Leonard and pick up Asik I am all for it otherwise cannot mess with the team chemistry.

Not enough for Asik and team chemistry isn't that fragile (or if it is, then it's a mirage).

I would not make CJ untouchable. Saying don't trade CJ because we don't now what we have in him is not a win now approach.

I'm wondering if we can get involved in a three way with Houston. Who needs a center?

Good question. Of the teams with legit playoff aspirations, I think the Clippers would probably be a better team with a high IQ guy like Asik over Deandre Jordan, Dallas would look a lot better with Asik instead of Blair. An Eastern team is probably a more likely candidate, but I'm having hard time thinking of who would make a good partner.

Yeah, I know Miami wants a big man, but I see no reason for us to get involved in that. I looked at NY and BKN and they're both horrible. I wouldn't want much of anything off either of those teams.

He's a lil better offensively than Lopez isn't he?

So you wouldn't move Lopez for him. Let me ask you this...How many of you would take CJ McCollum and trade him for Asik? I think he is your only legitimate trade piece that doesnt mess with chemistry.

The difference between Asik and Lopez is that Asik is a drama queen and our chemistry with Lopez right now is incredible. The goofy haired guy is becoming a fan favorite. With that said if we could somehow get Asik without getting rid of Lopez, which I think is impossible without dismantling key components of our core, Id be all for it. Its all moot though because Houston is not goin to let us have those two guys together. CJ McCollum is not enough to be a centerpiece for Asik. IMHO.

I'm just curious what a player like mo could even net us? Didn't he only sign for 2.6 mil? Are you talking combination of players? Who?

Who even knows, but if CJ comes back and is effective, you can't have the two of them playing together.

I like Livingston, but I don't know if BKN would trade him.

I think he needs to get a little younger and we have about 3 young players to help them out. Barton, claver and Leonard for Livingston and Evans.

Livingston is a legit back up PG and Evans will give you a solid 5-10 minutes if heavy rebounding and defense.

I don't think they care if they get younger. I think they're desperate to get something going and turn things around.

Not sure if we have anything to offer them.
