What do you guys(refering to Trench, NTC, and all the Graphic Team) use to create your graphics. Do you use photoshop? and if so what kind(If theres different kinds)and how much does it cost. And what do you think is a good Photoediting program for under 200$?

I use photoshop CS2. Easily over $200.00

A great program on a budget that is user friendly is Paint Shop Pro. Google it. I know there is tons of info on it. I think its around $199.00
 
I tried cropping an image so the audience won't appear in the image but whenever I crop it the pic turns small and so does the sig. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure what you're saying here, can you please explain it a bit better for me?
 
I had a pic of Vince Carter and wanted to delete the background of the audience and have the pic of VC only How would I do that?
 
I just use the marquee tool to erase large portions of the photo I want to cut, then I just use the erase and the zoom function around the edges of the person or object I want to cut out.
 
Sportsline (you can erase a part of the link where it says _lower and change it to dimensions such as 800x600) and Yahoo Sports are great sources.

Also, i tried putting up a new sig, and it says the remote file is too large, how do i change the file to be smaller?Do i have to save it differently?

Also how do you download new fonts?
 
For non sports related photos, just go to www.google.com > Image Search

As for fonts, go to www.dafont.com, download the fonts you want, take the font file and place it in the Fonts folder under the Control Panel on your computer. Very very simple.

I tried, but i couldnt find them. Ill try again.

Ok, i click download, it says open or save, do i click save?

After that where can i find Control Panel

The CP is in the start menu, its not hard to find...
 
^ Wierd, i cant find it. Ill be on another computer once i transfer files, so maybe on that one. I did find a Fonts folder in the C folder, but i put it in there and coudlnt find it later. Any idea whats wrong?
 
I need some tips for Photoshop CS2, i got the 30 day demo and i only have 29 days left!!!! so i need some tips and ish so i can get started. How do you cut a pic? Is there any edge finder or anything?

I have 21 days left. Just go to photoshop tutorials. I'm a toal noob at it.
 
I'm trying to download a font from dafont.com and I clicked save. I then found the font folder under Control Panel. After that I tried dragging the saved font into the Font Folder but it says:

Unable to install the font.

File".../yikes.zip" is either invalid or damaged.

Right click the zip file and click "Extract here" then move the real font file to the fonts folder:

Ok, on Photoshop CS2 (My time is running out!) it wont let me use brushes, and it has a little lock sign next to them. What do i do?

How do i add color after i add a filter?
How do i cut out a pic to take out the background? Should i use the freeform pen then cut? If so, then how do i zoom while in freeform so i dont completely jack up the cuts?
 
When I cut, I find the most effective way is just to use the crop tool, get out most of the rubbish you dont want there, then get the lasso tool, go around the shape of the thing (try and leave about a half a CM of background around the player of whatever it is you're cutting) then zoom right in to 1600%, and using the eraser (I use it on 3px) just go around the outline of the player, you'll get a close cut to the pixels this way.

It sounds time consuming, but it isnt really, the cuts I did on Franchise4Evers "24/7" sig (which seemed to get high praise from a few people for the cutting being so crispe) took around half an hour to cut both.

Also to make it easier for you, if you're cutting somthing for a sig, down size it to fit the signature first, that way you save alot of time, as the bigger the photo, the more time it takes to cut.

As for the Brush thing, I dont know what the deal is there, maybe because its only the trial version?

I dont understand your filter question, what do you mean by adding colour once you've done a filter effect? (I rarely use Filters BTW)

I use brushes, and / or blending stock images for backgrounds.

To add colour you just use the paint bucket tool, I always put the colour on a seperate layer, and either put it at the very bottom, or top of the brush work etc. then blend it over the top of it.

Like in my sig for example, its a photo manipulation, thats the original photo, I just added some brush work, blur effects and a layer of colour which I just put on 'Overlay'.

How do i resize the image onto the background part?
How do i get brushes?

You cut... I already explained this in detail a few posts up...

Go to Edit > Free Transform, take one of the corners once the Free Transform box comes up, hold shift and drag it to the size you want.

How do i get brushes?

www.deviantart.com or just do a google search

Whats blending?And how do you do it?

Blending of images, you can just mess around with the Opacity, Feather tool or layer options to blend images.

How do you put blur effects?

Filter > Blur Effects

For this sig that you made for M21, how did you blend the colors and pics?

Notorious, honestly, the best way to learn how to do things is to read the TUTORIALs. I dont use most of the techniques NT uses, and we all come up with our own ways with practice and study. My suggestion before asking anymore questions is to visit Deviant Art or Good Tutorials and follow step by step signature designs. Just google Photoshop Signature Tutorials, Im sure there will be many links.

You will not learn PS2 in 30 days. lol. It takes practice, practice and more practice. Google info on the tools, their uses, etc... Research signture techniques. Its all found on the WORLD WIDE WEB.
