Define assault rifle
A weapon not protected under the second amendment.
Define "a weapon protected under the second amendment."
Why do people always bring up machine guns?
Define "a weapon protected under the second amendment."
Same reason people say kleenex when they mean tissue, or pork when they mean unidentified-meat-served-at-chinese-restaurant.
They aren't trying to be precise.
barfo
But that would be like calling a Clorox disinfectant wipe a Kleenex. Sure, you could wipe your nose with it, but I doubt it's going to go well for you.
It also annoys the shit out of me when people call an armored car a "tank." For example, I once read a news report that said something to the effect of, "Police use tanks on protesters at oil pipeline."
A tank has a big ass gun on it. An armored car does not. Seems pretty simple.
I want a tank with a big ass machine gun.
I'm no gun expert, I just knew the definition of assault rifle because it's been in the news recently.
And you think the news media has the correct definition of an "assault rifle"?
Please tell me you don't believe that nonsense.

Did you read my definition?![]()
A weapon not protected under the second amendment.
Youre a war vet but youve never needed a gun? Did you just spark up doobies with the enemy?bullshit....I can joke about machine guns...I'm a war vet and I've actually shot one...I simply said at 63 I've never needed one....and that's the truth ...unless you're a liberal, you probably don't have a clue what they love to talk about...my guess, not guns much
I'm not an expert on constitutionality, so I'm not so sure if this is the right decision or not from that perspective. But, just from a logistical perspective I don't really see a ban like this actually making a difference in reducing gun violence. I am a liberal on many issues, but this doesn't seem like it's likely to actually help. I wouldn't mind seeing gun locks/safes required (to own) if you have guns. I think there are a lot of things that we could concentrate on that would make a much stronger impact on gun violence than banning assault rifles.
Yep. Every gun ive purchased came with a lock. I also agree you cant require a gun safe. But i sure am glad i got mine. Crime rate is insane in my area and i didnt want to be that poor sap that got robbed and his guns were used by thugs to do illegal shit. At night i open the safe incase of an intruder i can snag anything i want on my way out of the bedroom and i can leave everything loaded and lock the safe when i leave.Absolutely agree, except for the requirement for Safes. And most guns already come with locks, or are far easier to purchase than an entire Safe.
As for the rest of your post, I agree. Just addressing education, introducing positive community influences (such as after-school activities), and introducing jobs into the inner-cities would dramatically reduce gang violence, which is the leading cause of crime where a firearm is used. So yes, there are other things that we can do to address this issue more appropriately.
Not airsoft.

You need to get some Magpul on that sucker.
Id like to thank @dviss1 for making this thread and motivating me to finally make my purchase. You the fucking man, sir!
Just screwed the pressure switch to the light on the foregrip and discovered the foregrip is hollow and seems to have a holder for 2 123 batteries. Just fucking genius engineering. That light is bright as fuck. It fucking better be at over $100 by itself. Cant wait to hit the range next week! That's beautiful! Well done bro!
This. Magpul is just head and shoulders above everyone else. I think I have a Magpul mag for my AK, and it's never failed me.
Or it might be a Tapco mag.....and I definitely have some Bulgarian waffle mags in my bag somewhere...
Indeed, all things are possible through our Lord and Savior Dviss. Amen.

Oh shit. I love that grip designed to take the surfire pressure switch. My mount job worked but that is clean as fuck.Yeah, many ARs have hidden compartments for batteries, depending on if your furniture supports it. Tango Down sells forward grips that are waterproof and sealed.
