Even the Blazer reddit seems to be calming down and talking about actual basketball and is excited about Chauncey, but not BE lmao, they are still crazy.
At the end of the day, most people are fans first, SJW second. So many public declarations to leave the fanbase, but doesn't look like a significant number actually followed through.

They delete comments that don't fit their narrative, and then ban people for calling it out.

And this gem after multiple comments questioning the persistent irrelevant coverage:
I'm going to do something I rarely do on site
I’m closing the comments for this post. As you can see above, some comments are interesting and reflective. Many are from people are viewing it as an opportunity to rehash their same arguments—particularly objections, often with personal attacks—without even listening to the podcast or the voices therein. This is one of the strong objections we had to the press conference itself. It’s also a reality that anyone who speaks of their experience with sexual violence (which includes many more people than the person Coach Billups interacted with in 1997, including people here and now, in front of us all) have to face. For one post, we’re just going to let voices speak and people can choose to listen or not.

LOL

I didn't think I could have a lower opinion of KOC. Literally an average fan that jumps on the latest bandwagon opinion on everything and given a platform to do it. Offers nothing but reactionary takes, no insight, no informed opinions, nothing. Why people around the league actually talk to him from time to time I will never know.

bro Aaron Gordon is the missing piece.

Pierce is an asst on the National Team. Woulda been good to build some rapport with Dame.

I wonder if Jamahl Mosley is an option if he doesn’t get a head coaching job. He coached Billups in Denver and went to the same college.

I think one general perception around the league right now is that Dame is getting antsy and could push his way out of town. I think another is that CJ is on the trading block. Probably another is that the way the hiring of Billups was done has led to internal dissension, particularly with Dame. Then there’s the prevalent notion that Olshey’s neck is on the chopping block. All of that gets rolled together and some people come to the conclusion that the franchise is in disarray. I suspect that the actual situation is nowhere near as unstable as the popular perception would suggest. I think this summer will reveal the truth.

And fans of other teams want Dame so they dive into this kind of narrative with both feet because they all imagine they can get him for a borderline rotation player and draft picks as he forces his way to their team.

The smart move would be to hire Dame's Weber State trainer as assistant...Dame talks with him constantly...he's the guy who texted Dame "not good enough" after his 50 pt game in Denver

and he responded with a somewhat subpar game. So as far as motivating coaches, maybe aim higher?

I'm trying to keep Dame in Portland, not blame his ex coach or a subpar game...that coach got him drafted as a first round pick and has kept Dame's loyalty since....not sure he'd be less of a motivator than Janero Pargo..Dame calls him for advice regularly...that's showing Dame you go the extra mile...put that guy on our bench even if he just shags rebounds

They signed his no talent cousin, they've already showed they were willing to go the extra mile.

His no talent cousin didn't have much coaching experience...and the guy has been very successful in Weber state as a coach...I'd say that's not a fair comparison...I think Dame would say the same...we also let Moses Brown slip through our fingers on a 2 way contract and he'll probably start for the Celtics....Blevins was our practice crash test dummy...garbage man...he wasn't talentless, he was just not NBA calliber...neither was Louis Montero either but he rode our pine as well.....I'm not convinced Blevins wasn't Jody Allen's lover....stranger things have happened

Beckner has never been a head coach on any level.

We have a head coach already...I thought the guy Dame talked with was his head coach at Weber...don't even know his name....if it's Beckner what's his relationship to Dame's basketball career? Trainer?

No, he won't start for the Celtics.

way to not answer my honest question about who Beckner is....I was asking because I don't know him by name

yeah he’s Dames trainer. I doubt he would be an assistant anyway as he makes more money doing what he does now.

He had a breakout season...Horford really didn't last season....I think Brown can give Al a run for his money as far as rotation spots..

He had a break out season on one of the worst teams in the NBA. Boston is going to battle for HCA next year. They can't afford to have a super raw C in their starting 5.

Horford didn't have a good season on a bottom feeder though....we'll see. At any rate he'll be in the rotation and he wasn't even on an NBA roster other than a two way with us before that....a center on a shitty team is still playing against centers on good teams all season and the kid held his ground...I was impressed with his improvement
