There are prolly a couple reasons why there has not been an assistant hire yet -- one close to the holiday ( 4th ) and Billups just got on the job last week heck maybe just this week if he took a day or 2 off after the clips got eliminated to spend with his family before jumping into the fire to get this team turned around so Dame does not ask for a trade next offseason. Also it's possible one of the people Billups wants is still coaching on the Suns or Bucks staff so many reasons but i do hope we get a rumor (name ) by weeks end maybe even a hire would be nice.

I would imagine Chauncey is moving into the house the Blazers found or set up for him....they are said to be really good at laying out the red carpet for new families in Portland....it's the candidates who've probably been partying over the holidays with family

Canzano I think. He was actually really close with Quick. I think that's where most of Quick's dirty on the team came from.

With Kenny Atkinson getting hired to be Golden State's lead assistant, I think that means Mike Brown is on the way out.

He would be the PERFECT lead assistant for Chauncey.

Sounds like Norm Powell dropped a big hint, suggesting his good buddy and assistant coach in Toronto, Adrian Griffin would make a nice assistant coach. Griffin (assistant coach) and Powell both won a ring in 2019 in TO…..maybe if we want Powell we consider his suggestion?
