Assuming Indy matches Hibbert

Where the hell did you get those numbers? Did I mess up again, or are you taking career numbers? I was speaking of the player Bayless is right now

So you took a very small sample size and posted it as gospel? That's disingenuous in my opinion. Their career numbers are more accurate.

Bayless has never sniffed a starting job for a reason. The guy puts up his numbers against bench players and could never beat out Calderon. Thats all I need to know.

Let.

It.

Go.

I'd rather go after Jarrett Jack than Bayless.

Hmmm ... now that I think about it, I would too. Jack isn't exactly all-world as a point guard, and I'd have to start the "Step-on-the-baseline-take-a-drink" game again, but he's tough he can play a little bit of 2 guard, and by all accounts he's a good teammate.

Sure why not.

I took last years numbers because I don't think a player should be rewarded or penalized for prior production. Maybe the last two years?

Matthews last two seasons:
283 made threes
40% 3PT
43% FG

Bayless last two seasons:
93 made threes
37% 3PT
42% FG

FT made on an even level? What is it then? Bayless is flat out better to me. No reason to keep arguing about it

Wesley Matthews
45% FG
39% 3PT FG
.114 WS per 48
108 DRTG
14.1 PER

Jerryd Bayless
41% FG
35% 3PT FG
.077 WS per 48
111 DRTG
13.9 PER

sorry mm, but this flat out destroys you

bayless played starter minutes in 7 games last year, this way of thinking is just silly...bayless MAY be the better player going forward, but up to this point, he has been replacement level

I won't move on. Bayless is the better player right now.

whats the smallest sample size you will take as definitive proof, just so we can get that out of the way

if a player has a better week than another player, that means he is better right?

I say scrap the reloading and go with a full-scale rebuild. To me, that means either raping MIN in a sign and trade or letting Nico go. Do not take middling players for Batum. We're better off with the cap space. Keep the flexibility, suck, gather draft picks and hope we get lucky.

I think we should even consider trading Aldridge.

Finally, hire a coach who is a teacher, rather than an Xs and Os guy.

Being in the middle third in the NBA is a death sentence. Either be good or be bad. We're not going to be good with this Hibbert-less group.

I'd only support the Blazers signing Batum to 11 mil if they are going to turn around and trade him for a better player.

I think looking at last NBA season is pretty fair, no?
