I remember and was impressed by him not being intimidated by Shaq. I remember other people saying he couldn't play center, but not him saying so.

And I disagree that the deal was the beginning of the end. I don't think we'd be any better off now if we had kept him.

I for one think it was the beginning of the end. We over reacted to the melt down against LA and made some trades that we shouldn't have. I wish they just let that group stay together and play another year.

I voted "indifferent" because I honestly don't remember what I thought about it at the time, if I had to guess I suppose I would have thought it was a good deal since we had an all-star in Davis coming back.

You know what they say about hindsight ... you've got to be pretty flexible to twist your body around so you can look at your own ass.

I was all for it. All Jeranium wanted to do was stand around under the hoop and wait for someone to pass him the ball so he could dunk, and Davis was a "Bruise Brother" Buck Williams kinda guy...

I think it's funny how many people were "against" the trade, when all I heard at the time was how much of a boon it was for Portland. I was very much in favor of the trade because Jermaine sucked every time he actually saw playing time, and we already had Grant and Sheed. I'm not afraid to admit that.

That's kind of how I felt as well. I'm not going to say people are lying, but I'd say more than 38 percent were in favor of the trade.

I was for the trade, but I didn't see things going down with Briand Grant and Rasheed Wallace like they did.
