Avdija finished 5th in fan voting!

This is a rare time when I think the fans got it right, not that Deni is a better player than Wemby but the Alien missed too many games in the first half of the season. I personally would have given it to DA but this game also isn't about who is most deserving, it's a TV show first and foremost. Also let's not kid ourselves, Deni's heritage had to play a big part in so many fans voting for him. I was shocked to see so many of his jerseys at MSG last year and then felt like an idiot that it didn't automatically click. I don't think there are a ton of great Jewish players and even fewer that were born in Israel. A nice crossroad of the guy having a great 1st half of the season, along with his background, that could have very easily seen him named a starter but will almost assuredly get him on the roster.

Yang had 104,000 fan votes finishing 36th in the fan voting… Wow…

a poster at RealGM said that there was a huge and consistent campaign in Israel getting fans there to vote of Avdija, and they voted, a lot

Wouldn't be crazy for Israelis to vote in their first ever All-star.

But also wouldn't be crazy that a 26/7/7 forward is a certified All-Star starter. Throughout history, only 9 other guys averaged those kinds of numbers.

Lebron, Jokic, Harden, Jordan, Havlicek, Oscar, Bird, Westbrook, Luka.

First ballot Hall of Famer type numbers, basically. As such, that's starter material

With the way people talk about Westbrook around here, you'd think he was one of the worst players ever to play.

I said it here. Pini Barel's Yotube Channel.
I voted every day. I even had my SO voting too almost every day as she eventually caught on my enthusiasm contagius.

I mean, it is a fan vote. If Israeli fans want to see Deni, and they voted as such, great!

So HIS numbers are great, but NOT Westbrook’s?

Yeah, we are not exactly talking China numbers here.
Israel only has about 7.5 Jews in their country. I mean, Dallas-Fort Worth has that many people. New York, LA, and Chicago dwarf those numbers.
So I guess my point is, fans from large markets can fuck off if they are complaining.
