Please don’t let this guy stand on the corner and wait. Give him the rock to make plays

I am hoping to see some exciting fast breaks with him, Scoot, and Sharpe.
I also think he will work well leading the break with Simons and Shae on the wings.
He is the type of player who fits well with everyone.

Once this team grows a bit the passing will be interesting. Scoot is obviously decent. Sharpe can run the point at times and has decent vision. Demi clearly is capable, and Cling-Kon showed some nice vision last year. I was also glad to hear several players say how smart they thought Clingon was. It would be fun to watch another selfless team that works the ball for the obviously good shot.

And then make that shot.

“First of all, I’m very excited,” said Avdija at the Trail Blazers’ practice facility Monday afternoon. “A new chapter in my journey, a great organization. They welcomed me very, very well so it’s a good start. I’m glad to be in a place people embrace me and love me. I’m going to bring my competitiveness and we’re going to have a lot of fun.”
“I’m expecting to be a big part of the team, help them become a better team, take it to the next level,” said Avdija. “Honestly, I expect to get better every single day. Come here, work out, get the knowledge of the coaches, the organization. Just become a better player and a better person.”

That's all some of us has ever wanted. I was so excited when Nurk fever hit and he got to distribute the ball. I was hoping Stotts would embrace it and take advantage, but he didn't.

It'll be great if everything hits and we get to watch great basketball again and not iso heavy stuff.

When have they ever done a deal and not introduced the player at an actual press conference with Chauncey and Joe and the jersey.... the whole shebang. WTF was this?

looked a lot like an organization just going thru the motions, but only enough motion to say "well, that's done, what's next?"

there might be a worse ownership in the NBA than Portland's, but I'm having trouble thinking of one. They cheap-screw everything they can and don't seem to care, one bit, about anything but cash flow. And I think that's infected the front office

I'd rather support an unlikeable team winning and making playoff runs over a likeable team win 25 games.

The impression that I got was that he didn't seem super thrilled to be here.
Hard to know, some people are just more reserved and laid back.

But he now has a super long flight with no direct options to Israel (probably longest flight in the NBA?) as well as going to one of the few teams that doesn't get him a better chance to win.

I can see why he's not super excited.

I'm honestly not that worried about it right now. I thought it was a very strange setting for an introduction. Usually Joe and Chauncey are there to field some questions first. They didn't set him up for success in that environment.
